VMK quest yesterday

Yesterday we did the VMK quests at WDW. We came all prepared. I printed info from the DIS, had the quest pamphlets, and had ds's print out for a free wristband for 1st time win at Pirates. We dropped off our car at the garage, hopped in our other car and off we went to MK. The TTC was packed, but we got lucky with a parking spot. Row 46, but close enough we could walk instead of tram! We got to VMK central and realized we left all our VMK stuff in the car. I told ds that should be ok, we'll just ask a CM. So we asked both CM at VMK central which stores are participating in VMK stuff. They didn't know and sent us to Guest Services. Guest services didn't know either. A kind CM made a phone call and found out for us. So off we went to do the quests and buy the merchandise.
We had fun doing the quests. The questions were challenging enough that we had to really look for a few of them. The rest were pretty obvious and easy.
When we turned the quests back to VMK Central, we got lots of cards with codes. We also bought the real candy and got the card for pressed penny. DS went in the hat shop with his money. He got talking to a CM and she handed him a card. He came out all excited! He said he didn't even buy the hat, she just gave it to him!
It was so nice to do the quest yesterday. The parked was very crowded and it was very hot and humid. The lines for the attractions were pretty long. It took us about 2 hours to do the quest.
As we walked around, we were thinking about stuff that would be cool if it was on VMK. Wouldn't it be awesome if they had the Dole whip available on VMK? Character greetings? There were other things we thought of too, but I can't remember.

Glad you had a great time doing the quests...Going back on Thanksgiving since it is way too hot during the summer....Maybe I can get away and the quests!!!!

We got the VIP cards, but did not do the tour. It was too hot yesterday and ds(1) had enough.

When we stopped at guest services with our questions, the cm told us the tour is becoming very popular. He said that some days it's booked up to a week or more in advance. So he suggested since we have AP to go back and book it for a time in the future. Once we finished the quest and went back to guest services, the line was way out the door, so we decided we had enough for the day and went home.

I also wanted to mention that we discovered that the code inside the green glow in the dark VMK wristbands are a code already listed on the DIS for a t-shirt. Each wristband had the same code. DS got 2. One for the quest and one for 1st time win on Pirates. It was the LAB9-RR3K-EBSK-B9D3 code.

Another thing we noticed as we turned in our quests, they scanned our passes. I guess this is to insure that you can't do more than 1 quest every 30 days. They did not keep our quest question and answers after the game. So we still have them.

We are going to WDW next month and are planning on doing the quests and taking the tour, but didn't realize we had to have a bunch of stuff printed out already to take with us? (except for the Tomorrowland quest). What else do I need?

(except for the Tomorrowland quest). What else do I need?

I thought I'd remember which stores were participating, but didn't. I didn't want to waste time walking in and out of every store to check. But no CM that we talked to could answer us as to which stores. So know ahead of time.

May I ask what things you have to do on quests?

You have to answer questions. For example:

How many diamonds are in the letters on the sign of Diamod Horseshoe Jamboree?

When did the hardware store open?

Which topiaries stand in front of the Mad Tea Party attraction?

It would be nice if anyone has the list, if they could post it in one of the stickied threads at the top of the forum -- probably in the Player's Guide thread.

Bezoar the list is already in the players guide stuck at the top of the forums, that is probably where you saw it since it has been there since the beginning.

If the list you are referring to is what can be purchased at the parks to get codes.

It is fairly close to the top of the Guide Under PARKS.


It also contains the direct link to the Tomorrowland quest.

I also have all the answers for all the Quests I just have not posted them because I have not confirmed them. But I do have them available if anyone wants them.
