VMK Pirate pins are back at Downtown Disney (WDW)

I visited the pin trading store at Downtown Disney (in Florida) today, and I was astonished to find the VMK pirate pins/cards in stock, for the first time since November 14. They appeared to be well-stocked, with several dozen boxes on display. I bought ten boxes and got several duplicates.

Hi,
This depresses me. I had heard this so I called ordering tonight and a not so nice cast member told me there are none on property. When I said that i was told DTD had them she said i was lied to and would not place a order. I had hoped to get these for slinkyman and smalld for xmas.

They must have them back in stock. I just checked my checking account and I was charged for the 10 boxes that I ordered through the Mail Order people. I guess I'll need to wait a couple days to get them at my house then.

70 boxes... they let ONE person buy 70 boxes when there are 100's of us with back orders waiting.... and they say they are trying to curb ebay sales... harumph

There is no limit on the number of boxes someone can purchase. The person who purchased 70 boxes is a kind generous person purchasing pins for vmk friends around the country.

And it seems it's a local who is buying up all the pins Rocks... not us who have called Merchandzing... dont blame us ifyou can find them in stock... look around where you live.

People. They are an OPEN EDITION. Meaning, if you don't get them this go around, Disney will be making copious amounts of them. I have no doubt there will be plenty of them. I would bet we see these at the Outlets in 6 or 9 months time.

aeryn is right, which also means bird hats and gold treasure chairs wont be worth nearly as much by next summer - which is the reason I wont even TRADE for one of those items.

Oh well, at least i was able to get the holiday quest, even though the mean CM at VMK Central wouldn't let me use my expired passes. I could only get two.

Unfortunately, I don't have any money until Friday. And then more than half my paycheck has to go to someone else.

I don't know if I can ever get any. Especially since my job is also end this Friday.

Don't be stressing over them. Went this am and there were at least 12 boxes on each counter. A cm was replacing them as soon as they were bought. The man that rung me up, said tell you friends to come buy them, we have alot here.

Edited to add: went to epcot and as of 11am, they didn't have them there.

yes we were with this person when they bought the 70 boxes...and they are all for friends around the world, this person is really generous

I emailed Disney Merchandising...I just got a response about 5 minutes ago. They are claiming they are still on backorder and to check back in Feb.
So alot of help that is.....
