Welcome to this week's Newsletter, it's a big one so let's get going...
VMK Q&A
Every day I get asked questions. Some are about the game, some about Disney and some about me.
Starting this week, I'll try to answer a few of those questions. To kick things off I've pulled together
some of the most asked questions:
Q: When are new items going to be released?
A: I get asked this question a lot, unfortunately it's one of the few I can't answer. Why? Well most of
the time item releases are related to a theme or event we are working on and we don't want to spoil
the surprise. Sometimes we change things and don't want to get your hopes up for an item that may
not be released right away. And sometimes, believe it or not, I don't know, the VMk team surprises
even me!
Q: Will the Dancing Inferno Pin be given out again as a prize?
A: Right now we're awarding other items, but fear not, it will be back soon.
Q: I love to play VMK, I'm an awesome gamer, can I be a VMK game tester?
A: Unfortunately, only the VMK QA team is permitted to test the game and we are not currently
looking for any additional testing staff. In the past we asked players to help test parts of the game but
now that we have a full QA staff we are no longer doing that.
Q: Will VMK ever include more parks than just
Disneyland and The Magic Kingdom?
A: Right now we are focusing on just Magic Kingdom parks. We've created items and rooms from
Disney's Animal Kingdom and the Disney MGM Studios and will continue to slowly add other parks,
but currently there are no plans to open additional gates to other parks.
Q: I have a suggestion or idea for VMK, where can I send it?
A: We're always open to suggestions and comments from our players, to send us questions, feedback
or just general comments, click the link marked 'Contact Us' at the bottom of this page. When you're
asked for your Disney Account Information provide the email and information you registered on
VMK with. Select 'I want to send something into the Newsletter.' from the pulldown help tab, then
type in your comment and press 'Next.' We'll review your comments and feedback every week.
Q: Will Park Quest rewards from Disneyland or the Magic Kingdom ever be available any other way?
A: Park Quest prizes are exclusive to Park Quests and once those items and the Quest are over, we
don't have plans to bring them back.
Q: Why do I keep getting disconnected from the game?
A: We're sorry you keep having trouble, but we're working to fix this bug right now. None of us are
happy about it and we're hoping to have it fixed soon.
Q: Who are you Yavn - and how do I pronounce your name?
A: I'm the game's producer as well as one of the lead designers. I've been making games for the last
16 years and have worked for the Disney company for the past 6 years. My player name is
pronounced 'Yah-Vin.' For the record, my favorite Disney movies are Cinderella, Mary Poppins and
of course, Tron! My favorite attractions are Space Mountain (Disneyland), Test Track (Epcot) and
Journey To The Center Of The Earth (Tokyo Disney Sea). My favorite Disney Park? Epcot.

VMK Happenings
Everyone enjoying Tron month??? Yeah it's pretty cool and we've got more cool Tron stuff coming...
This week the MCP (Master Control Program) poster will be on sale in the Emporium, as well as a
new pin this Friday. What else is going on this week? Well, here at VMK HQ, the team is busily
getting the Kingdom ready for Halloween. I can't say too much yet, but look for some of your favorite
costumes to be back on sale - as well a few more brand new goodies. And finally, our Disneyland
50th Celebration Park Quest is just about to end, so if you want to win those exclusive 50th virtual
prizes - like the 50th Celebration Director's Chair, the 50th Celebration Quest Pin and the 50th
Celebration Mickey Lantern - get to the park and complete those Quest! You have until September
30th to do so.
