VMK Management Please Bring Back Host Prizes

I don't know what I would have done without host pins and prizes when I first started. I didn't have much to trade and I have no access to the parks. The only thing I could do was go to every host event and try to pick up a few of the host prizes/pins every month. Those were instantly valuable and allowed me to trade for other things that I wanted.

I like the Q prizes. I think that could be a good replacement. Especially, if they were weekend or even one day quests. I think the ATIS set and Cats and Dogs pins are good example of host quest prizes that turned out to have pretty good trading value down the road. I also think that the pins that come from pulling the sword from the stone are good substitutes for players coming into the game now.

Actually, I've thought about it a bit more, and I'd rather them set up more difficult quests so that you have to earn the prizes rather than just being lucky enough to get into a room (like the ones for the HSM microphone). Putting in some new challenging quests would bring some fun and excitement to the game.

I like this idea, because it's easier to get on the Q button than it is to get into the host room at any given moment.

Fin's memory game was probably the most challenging game for me since the beginning. I totally tanked on it.

I strongly want the room line limit back, I hate seeing lines as large as 700+ and those boring teleporter game rooms. The last decent host event was sometime during Tron - Holiday 06.. when we actually had to play the game against other people to win a GOOD prize. I don't care if a kid cries because they couldn't get into a host event, they have to learn that they can't always get what they want.

I just wouldn't look forward to possibly having to sit for 2 or 3 hours clicking and clicking when I could be doing other things...that day the passes messed up not too long ago quickly reminded me of that... :scared:

Wow, that's harsh. You obviously don't have kids. This game shouldn't make any kid cry because they can't get something. It's supposed to be fun.

While kids do need to learn that they can't always get what they want, they don't need to learn to get that on an online role-playing game. It's not Disney's place to teach that to kids--that's a parents responsibility.

That's why I think quests would be a far better way to give out prizes. Make a difficult, but achievable quest, and kids will have the satisfaction of knowing that they earned a prize. Just like many video games reward you for practicing, and getting better at the game, having a difficult, but achievable quest give kids a goal to work for, and the opportunity to work for great prizes.

Look at how proud Aengus was when he achieved that fireworks score to get the green car pin, something I know many of us are hoping we will one day achieve. Yes, it took hard work and practice, but the satisfaction of knowing you worked hard to reach your goal is a pretty amazing thing.

lol.. I just realized how grumpy I was this morning.
Anyways, I still think that a line limit is a good idea.

I'd love to see the return of the racing games or the lily feild of dreams or hula trivia or find the phinny with the awesome prizes and just trying to get in the queue was a game itself and yet one I loved playing now with the limitless lines it's just oh host room yea i'll pass..... sigh ........ there just not what they used to be and it upsets me please vmk put back the limits and make the game how it is supposed to be. And for the record all the people who complained had the chance to get in line but were just to lazy to keep trying like all of us. And this is the PG edited version.........

Going to give this a bump back up to the top.

Hearing the Host prize of the month is single use treasure detector magic is great. But I want to wait it out to see what happens next month. I'm not holding my breath but I have a tiny bit of hope that maybe just maybe they have decided to bring back the wonderful Host only pins and prizes.

I am asking, no begging, that VMK management bring back Host Only prizes. The idea of Host rooms is not as special as it once was. As you have seen only one room this week was supposed to give out rare pins. This coupled with the fact that not even 1 percent of VMK's population will enter that room has created many angry folk out here.

Which of you decided that we dont like host only prizes? I for one LOVE host only pins and furniture. I do wish the old system of limiting the quantities of rewarding these rare items was brought back. Please do not have these items in the teleporter games. Save buyable prizes for Host quests or teleporter games. Make it a challenge for us to win those items. Floooding the system with thousands upon thousands of host only pins does nothing for the uniqueness (sp?) that is supposed to come with owning a Host only item.

Please please bring back the Host Only prizes. Give us all a chance at a couple times a week to be one of the lucky ones that got a great prize from the Hosts.

If any of you agree please post. Let VMK management know that we do care and this does affect us in the game. Comments and suggestions always welcome :)

Forgot to mention it was on a Monday morning when most were at school.
I mean the game is intended for 8-14 year olds. They hold it on a Monday morning when just about everyone is at school especially in that age range? Dont know what they were thinking there.

I would love to see Host prizes come back.

And, personally, I think single use treasure detector magic would make a *great* teleporter game prize.

Well, you made one girl's dream come true this month. Thanks VMK!! :goodvibes
