VMK is DOWN!!!!

Well, it's not down...my DD is next to me and has been on vmk for the past 40 minutes or so. She's been in a few rooms with a few other people. Maybe they're keeping them captive... hmmm

What AmberDaze says is true. I was still in the game for the longest time after the initial problem was reported. I started to see friends on my list drop out like flies.

I finally got the big DC but I was due for that anyway. It was just too weird to be in VMK with almost nobody.

It could be that there are a series of servers that serve certain parts of the country and one of them is down....

OK. This does explain a lot. Seemed that there wasn't many people on today. I figured it was most cause so many kids started school.

But then my IE crashed while logged into VMK. Now, I can't even access the home page or the log in screen.

EDIT: She just got the message that they will be closing -- and they DID.

same here. i didn't even know nobody was getting on vmk! that's probably why nobody was coming to my quest room. after about 2 ppl finished my quest i got the "vmk will be closing for some inhancements" message, and then about a second later, it said vmk was closed. THEN about 3 seconds later, i got dc. i hope vmk opens before my quest finishes. i probably have an hour left on the machine. i didn't have time to cancel it before i got dc.

Actually, folks, I think all of Disney has crashed. I can't get onto the DLR site, the WDW site, the Disney Vacation Club site, or anything. I can't log on to VMK from work, so I don't know for sure about that, but given what I'm reading here and what I'm experiencing on other Disney sites, I'd say they crashed, big and ugly!

Anyone else getting HTTP 404 Not Found on the Homepage? I just went to log in, and couldn't open the home page.. I fiddled with the cords, tried again and still nothing..

disney.com is up, as are most of the sub-sites there, such as disney insider, disneyshopping, games, etc. But, the destinations subsites (DLR, WDW, DVC) are down, and VMK, of course.

Yes, it's true! VMK has once again closed it's gates in the middle of the day to fix things or do whatever they do when they shut it down . I was playing fireworks when I got the the message that it was shutting down. At least today it didn't happen during the host game! We'll be back in soon.....we just must have patience.....

Don't flip out. The whole Disney server is down, it's not just VMK.
