strange i noticed a lot of people gone but i was in a room with VMK_Smiles and i was talking and then she said bye everyone nice seeing you you all must go now... and then the vmk closing thing came up a little early?

They said they're making some improvements. Apparently they needed everyone offline for them to get done.

The players online numbers dropped from 5000 to 800. Many ppl could not sign in. Clearly something is wrong. Arfy, they are closing the game to (hopefully) fix it.

Well, as it seems most people have been having problems logging in, it's time they did this. lol

I was in for a long time with no problems and was wondering where everyone was. It took forever to get a game a fireworks going!

But logged out to help my dad for a few and then came back to find the problems of logging in for myself.

what i dont understand is why all the fan sites (except for this one) are on the same database as vmk. whenever vmk is down for enhancements or is just not working, so are almost all the fan sites. what is up with that? lol. good thing e still have DIS!

I was on and I was like.. This is boring..Where did all my friends go? And then this girl said that VMK Crashed. (I kind of knew that the homepage didnt work bc I was trying to find the VMK Schedule for the next event) So.. I hope they fix it soon.

Nope. They're just overloaded since that's pretty much all they are.
DIS is not dedicated to VMK and therefore they have better servers that can handle whatever load us VMK'ers throw at it..

Well if they're sites dedicated only to VMK it's possible that everyone running there when VMK down has made their servers go down/slow down.

The VMK forum here is a subforum of a much bigger forum, which likely has much bigger stronger servers that can (most usually anyway) handle the bigger strain.

Bummer... I don't know the what problem is but I have been trying to log in to vmk for about 2 hours! It just won't load up. So I am glad to hear that it isn't just me. Don't know if they are just fixing the problem or getting ready for tomorrow. But it is still really early here on the west coast to close up for tomorrow... but hey who knows. I wish they are working on tomorrow as that would mean some really cool stuff (hope hope).....I am so ready for Chrsitmas stuff to come out now... so we can start decorating our rooms. But it is weird that the staff told you all would have to leave and then the closing sign came up! humm... Oh well sure hope they get it fixed soon!

Agreed! I know this is a longshot... BUT, tomorrow is the first night of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at WDW - could it be that some Christmas stuff will come out tomorrow to coincide?!?!? Please! Please! Please!!! And I don't even dare to hope that the holiday quest will come out tomorrow, since I'm going!!!
