VMK Birthday Pin Quest *Spoilers*

The first post needs to be updated. Fireworks is now 170,000 in order to complete quest. I failed the task because I went by what this said rather than reading the quest window (I know, I know.... my fault! Gr!) but it should be changed to save others from this frustration.

And I agree with ElectricLime. Why do the answers need to be in white out, when it says SPOILERS right there in the title? It's just a pain to go back and forth between windows having to re-highlight again to read next answer. (yeah, I'm a cheater, but if you're reading this, you're a cheater too! LOL!)

I don't understand that. Why does one have to be the first to post the answers when you have no answers to post?

The fireworks scores are truly dreamland as I get them when my dreams come true.

It would take some magic or C++ (are bots allowed?) to get around 170k

You can advance through the quest with 120K, but yes, It does say 170K. Let's hope they don't fix it!

I will back up what Goofy said because I passed with a little over 120k. 170k is just too hard for many people in my opinion. I hope that it was just a typo.

The first post to this thread says 170,000 although people are reporting that they are getting by with 120,000 which is for some just as impossible as the 170,000.

Well, got home from work to discover that VMK will not load on our other computer (my son's by inheritance). My main computer fried this weekend and is basically a big ol' paperweight now but I figured I could hobble through and get the pin on my son's. Looks like it's just not going to happen.

I am fed up. I have dc'd twice while playing fireworks and now 3 times catching ghosts. Of course I want the pin so i will keep on playing but this is ridiculous.

i just gave up. i cant get the required score for fireoworks. not even 120,000.

It looks like they're allowing more people to advance to level 4 now... the top 10 or 11 (vs. the usual 6)? I usually squeak in around a 120,000 at the end of level 3 so I'm good, but to my surprise... a bunch of us (even some under 120,000) advanced anyways to level 4.

But yes, 120,000 appears to be what you need

The fireworks are still letting you by with 120k. The first couple of times I played this evening they seemed normal, but in the last hour and a half the scores have been just ridiculous. What would normally be a score that would have you 3rd or 4th after the first round is like 10th or 13th! Hopefully they are increasing the amount of people that get to move along, I didn't notice that. Good luck everyone!
