VLOGGERS?

I have not had any issues with VLoggers in the parks or restaurants. I've only seen Allears and The Dis in the parks and at 1 restaurant. They really appeared to try and not create a commotion even though they were taping.

We ran into JoJo from Jojo's World and ended up in his vlog. It was a highlight from our trip. We also saw Michael Kay at Skipper Canteen. He was just enjoying a dinner with friends, not filming at the time. I love watching vloggers on youtube when we can't visit DW. I wanted to run into Nate, but he was visiting his family when we were in DW.

I've seen plenty in the parks and I've never had one bother me. They talk at a normal speaking voice and the camera rigs don't stand out in a vacation spot where everyone's taking photos.

...I had a two-fer last week and both were very gracious!

I'm on the fence with Vloggers. On one hand, I like them because I get to see some of the new stuff that comes out that will likely be gone before I get there, as I live far, far away in a land with lots of lakes. :boat: On the other hand, I don't like them because if something new happens to be coming out while I am down there, I have to fight the extra crowds and risks of the new product being sold-out.

I honestly wouldn't recognize one if I saw one. Everyone and their dog now days is a Disney vlogger - I've seen many people talking into their cameras giving tours and such. It has never bothered me.

I agree. There are so many people wearing Mickey shirts and carrying cameras, I would have no idea if I happened to see one. Don't follow any bloggers, but I guess they are all trying to make $$ from whatever they post online. I know at times we have seen Disney post signs saying they were making a movie and if you didn't want to be seen on camera should go elsewhere. If you are in a public place that is a vacation destination like Disney, you should probably expect people taking pictures or video. Unless the blogger is being rude or obnoxious, I don't care what they are doing. Disney parks are big enough places you could just go somewhere else if you know who they are and don't care to be part of their video.

I wonder how many people think I'm a vlogger when I'm making a video to share with my MIL8-)
I'm wondering about this, too.

Clearly there are known vloggers who people watch and recognize if they see them. Then there are people like us; we're taking videos of food, and rides and the sights but aren't known vloggers. I have my little YouTube channel (a whopping 39 subscribers) and I love filming my trips. But I am by no stretch of the imagination a "vlogger" - I just get a kick out of shooting and editing travel videos. That no one watches...

I suspect some people think people like us are vloggers but most just ignore us.

Trackers were dropped from Universal and the Disney Media list last Summer after their unsavory racist/homophobic videos came to light. They are reactionary to everything, the moment they got on the Uni/Dis list I would've went through my entire catalog on YouTube and scrub anything that could be perceived as offensive.

They only are being #hosted by Seaworld, Busch Gardens, and Lego Land themepark wise.

Tim was literally just at a media event for the return of Happily Ever After, so I'm not so sure they have been completely removed from Disney media lists.

....I'm thinking that Brayden was genuinely glad that I recognized him - I think he makes just as many 'studio' productions [or perhaps even more], rather than just walking around any of the parks.

I only really watch Resort TV1. I always thought their camera rig was so much bigger having never seen what it looks like. I imagined they might have stuck out like a sore thumb, but now, seeing how tiny their setup is, I think they'd be a lot harder to pick out of a crowd. Still doesn't stop people from photobombing, but that's an issue no matter what.

....I knew that they were in the Tomorrowland section of MK, so we headed over there. We immediately spotted them on the Wedway People Mover....

It's funny because a lot of the videos I have (90s/00s) were filmed by my dad to share with my grandmother back home. My grandparents were Disney fans (including being at the MK in 71) but didn't travel much in their later years; so they got a kick out of seeing the parks.

I guess it was sort of like a vlog but for an audience of 1. :lmao:

Got it.

I believe I've seen a bit of this video before. Years ago I used to watch Tim but I was bored and there was nothing better. I haven't watched this couple in forever and this video didn't make me want to return to watching them. To be honest I coudn't get past the first 5 minutes.

Don't know why Disney thinks giving expensive items away to people who just aren't interesting would make anyone want to buy their product. They're far better off with honest reviews from people who've purchased the product on their own.

Average people who pay for things don't make multiple long vlogs about the product. Craig and Corey were literally on this same cruise, also gifted by Disney.

Nearly 900k subs and struggling to get 100-200k views are pathetic metrics.

PMM and Super Enthused are blowing them out of the water ratio wise.

That's actually pretty good for a channel that posts long videos every day. No daily vlogger gets the same views as subscribers, and longer videos get less clicks to begin with.

There is always a risk of this backfiring and causing resentment.

I hoped the creation of Disney Parks Blog would clean up the mess bloggervloggers create.
Disney does not. need them and I wonder just how much Disney researches their background , etc. You would think the success / fail that has been created with their Disney child actors growing up would be enough to warrant caution.

Disney doesn't need them, but vloggers are so much cheaper than traditional advertising, which can cost tens of thousands just to produce a commercial. Instead you have people doing it for free? That's a huge win for marketing.
