DH, 31, has been to MK but none of the other parks
All out trip to celebrate our first anniversary

We woke early this morning and decided to head over to Sea World. DH is a police officer and all the Busch parks are giving police, fire, emergency rescue personnel and active military free passes to their parks through the end of this year. In addition, on their first visit members of their immediate family also get in free. We arrived at Sea World just before 9am, paid $12 for preferred parking (well worth it our car was right next to the ticket booth, and got in the line for Americas Heroes). The lines for the special passes were mobbed, because they required that all persons applying for the passes have their information entered into the computer, as well as their picture taken and a photo id pass printed. About a half an hour later, we were on our way. Unfortunately, we ran into the same situation at this park as we had faced at Universal. All persons entering the park were forced into the Key West area until 10am, when the rest of the park was to open. This resulted in a rope drop situation where tons of people were milling about waiting to sprint over to the Kraken and Journey to Atlantis. I find this a dangerous situation, but its not my theme park. Shortly after 10 we headed over to the Kraken fantastic roller coaster, and my DH was relieved to find that the seat was much larger than the coasters at Universal had been (DH is 63, and weighs close to 300lbs.) We then went on Journey to Atlantis, which had a tiny seat, and proceeded to get drenched. Word of warning the large drop that everyone sees didnt get us wet at all, but when you round that corner there is a tiny tiny drop with a huge amount of water that pours into the boat. Be prepared! The rest of the morning we enjoyed the park especially seeing the Budweiser truck being pulled by the Clydesdales, complete with a dalmation riding on top. We also participated in Beer School a half hour beer tasting class that gives you a nice diploma and a free keychain. Not wanting to exhaust ourselves before our big move to Disney the next day, we left the park around 2pm and headed down International Drive in search of lunch. We ended up at Sweet Tomatoes, an all you can eat salad bar type restaurant that I thought was wonderful DH complained about the lack of meat products there were a couple, but probably less than 5% of the choices offered contained meat. Completely full and exhausted, we returned to our hotel, and spent the evening packing up for our next move.
