We may take a drive down to Myrtle Beach SC Presidents weekend. We are thinking of moving to the Caroline Forest area, not really sure but we want to check it out.

Can anyone recommend a place to stay, maybe with an indoor pool. Is there anything that we shouldn't miss. How will the weather be in Feb.

We want to see what the area is like, have heard nice things about it.

Thanks for any information you have.

My family and I go to MB every summer. It is a gorgeous area, but remember it is second only to WDW as an east coast vacation destination in the summer. It is VERY crowded in the summer! Lots of golf and family vacations. Most of the major hotels have indoor pools, and their are lots of shows (Alabama Theater is great). For shopping, take in Broadway at the beach and Barefoot landing. It will be cool in February, and snow is not unheard of, but it is rare.

My hubby and I have talked about moving out there to the Carolina Forest area too! How funny! It is nice and lots to do but yes it does get VERY crowded in the summer. That has been one stopping point for me is the trying to get around in that traffic all the time. YIKES!

I tell you where an AWESOME place to stay is, well it is my secret so pm me and I will give it to you. Hey, don't want all the rooms filling up so that hubby and I can't get one. :goodvibes The rates are really good for Feb. Weather, it really depends, I would say that we have been having such nice weather this winter that it may still be nice in Feb but sometimes it is really cold and windy. You just kinda have to keep an eye on it. Good Luck!

We went a few years ago and stayed at the Beach Cove Resort, really loved it there, and would definitely go back again.

Move dowon here to Charleston and visit as much as you want..... a scant 2 hours, more like 90 minutes!

Just wondering if you could recommend some good restaurants in MB? We will actually be in N. Surfside Beach but don't mind driving. Last year we ate at all chains because we were unfamiliar with the area (used to go to OBX every summer).

To the OP- if Legends is open they put on a great show. I didn't want to go but went because my husband wanted to and really enjoyed it. We will go agan this summer.
