I just received an offer from the vistiana resort to come for 5 days, 4 nights for 199. I read through the offer, my wife read it and no where does it say that we need to sit through a time share presentation. We just need to make the reservation within the next 15 days. Has anyone else received anything like this and not had to sit through a time share presentation in order to get the room? 199 for 4 nights seems like a great deal but I don't want to have to sit though some sales pitch. Has anyone else ever gotten an offer like this?

most of the time this would require a sales pitch.

who send it out?

what the phone number?

don't be surprised if this is real. Sheraton Vistana has alot of excess inventory - they use to give to RCI - RCI changed it rules and says anything that they get they get to KEPT. and will charged the resort if it rents this inventory (very, very unfair).

so they are kepting alot of their inventory now - so this offer could have come from the resort itself.

I got the same offer this week . I am trying to to figuire out if it is worth it. Barb

What number should I call for reservations..?? I called the number on the website... 1-800-869-1166 X 6828... No answer only a voicemail.

HELP!

The offer came from Sheraton, supposedly only for Starwood Preferred Guest members. There is a special number to call, the resort reservation number is not to be used, and supposedly you need to bring the actual invitation to the resort when checking in. There is absolutely nothing in the mailing that specifies sitting through a sales pitch. Holiday and special event periods are excluded, so I wonder if there would be rooms in April for my kids spring break. Our schools have a spring break based on a holiday that is only celebrated in New England, and this year it is a few weeks after easter, so not really a holiday. I think I will call and see what the story is.

Can you possibly give me the phone number so that I can try to contact them to find out if i could have a similar deal?!?!

I just called...
The best rate they could give me was:
$120/night 1 bedroom villa for the first 4 nights then $149 for the 2 nights on the weekend, and for the next 4 nights $120 for a total of $1258..... told me it was the only special they had.

you have to have this card to get the rate that brentalex is talking about. He will be asked at the front desk to show this letter/card.

so just getting the phone number won't help you.

when are you planning your trip? princess:

We got a similar invitation for $279 and you got $100 Disney dollars. We booked it (prepaid) and after the 3rd letter (money already paid) it mentioned the timeshare tour. We are going at the end of May. It's still a good deal, and we won't have any trouble with the pressure. There is no way we plan to buy.
When we called and booked the woman asked "Do you have any questions?" several times. I didn't even think of timeshare. (This was before I found the DIS boards)
They'll probably say it to you. Now you can answer "Do I have to sit through a time share talk?"
It's still a good deal. I'll give them 90 minutes of my time.
We are going to stay 5 nights on property and then 4 nights at the Vistana. :D

Vistiana villages timesare presentation is horrible. Never again! We just returned. They put us up at the Caribe Royale and we had the timeshare presentation at the Villages. The room at the Caribe was not up to standards, and very little to none was done after my complaining. Upon check\out, I had to pay taxes on the rack room rate of the Caribe Royale, not my package price. I spoke to the manager of maketing at the Vistiana about my horrible, stay and the tax charge. He was no help and rude.. Never again!!!
