Hi, Can someone help me! I'm thinking about visiting the spa on the wonder on our day at sea. Basicaly, to get away from hubbie and kids. Is there a website anywhere that provides services and spa info?

Your spa comments/review welcomed!

HI, Barb has the prices on castawayclub dot you know what...Sorry I can not post it here...

DW and I did the couple's massage on our 11/28/04 Wonder trip and absolutely enjoyed it. The staff was very professional, and the facilities were very nice. I would definitely recommend it as a little escape.

But, also be forewarned, reservations fill up quick. So, I would make it an early stop on embarkation day. They normally open for reservations at around 1:00 p.m. (I think).

If all I want to do is the Rainforest Room, do I need to make ressies or just show up?

Thanks,
Melanie

We did Rainforest many times on our back-to-back recently. Its great if the weather is not so good, but does get busy. I believe you can just show up, and it costs $15 apprx per day. We opted for the week-long pass for both weeks', and it was great. However, if your weather is good, perhaps the option of just the odd day visit is best. Nat :earsgirl:

I definitely recommend the massages at the spa. On our last cruise (7-day Eastern), I was dissapointed to hear that you cannot make a regular massage reservation on a sea-day. I was told that they only take reservations for the "premium" services on sea days. They put me on a waiting list for a sea-day massage and gave me a reservation for the St. Thomas port-day. I was never called for the waiting list and had to wait until St. Thomas to get my massage. It was great, but I wish I could have gotten it sooner.

Do you remember how much the seven day pass for the Rainforest Room was?

Thanks!

It was $89 on our 7-day Western, if you got it at the beginning of the cruise. As the days passed, you could get a 5-day or 3-day at a reduced price.

Sorry for the delay--I lost track of this thread for a while. "Premium Services" are the ones with the higher fees, such as the Seaweed Wrap, Ionithermie Cellulite Reduction, Elemis Aroma Spa Ocean Wrap with Half Body Massage and such. A regular massage costs less than the above treatments, so I assume they want to book as many higher-priced services as possible.

You can get reservations on the DCL website based on your sail date. I believe it was about 105 days out for concierge or REAS, 90 for returning cruisers and about 75 days out for 1st time DCL guests. I don't have it in front of me but these are the approximate time frames. You can book any spa service that has time available at these times. I already booked 2 (regular) massages and one for my DMIL. Hope that helps. Amy :flower:

FYI...your trip has to be paid in full in order to book anything...so make sure your cruise is completely paid for in time to make ressies! :flower:
