Vistana - when did you know which unit# you were assigned?

I know that I have seen several posters here, in the past, say that they found out that they were assigned a unit# shortly before they left on their trip.

Of course, Vistana tells me that I would not be able to know until I actually check in. Hhhhmmm????

We leave in a week, and I am soooooo excited to see where we may be!!!

I didn't know until we arrive.

I was very worried - mother at 82 just can't do steps - so I was very happy to see my request meet.

love it!!! so did she - 6 steps from the car to the room....WDW doesn't have anything this close!

Well, I don't know what unit we'll be in, but when I called up to see about the Diamond Lane express check in (?) they told me we would be in the Lakes section. YAY!!! I told the guy helping me that I needed to be in a bldg. with elevators because of my knees. Had both scoped and going down stairs is a killer.
