I am planning a trip to Disney with my hubby and three children, ages 16, 13 and 9. This site has been so helpful to me. I narrowed down our choices for accomodations to Vistana Villages or HIFS. We want a two bedroom villa/suite. They both got great reviews. Can anyone help me decide. Is HIFS more suited to younger children? Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

We're going in May. We chose VV. The 2 bedrooms are bigger and look much more comfortable. Ammenities include full kitchen and washer /dryer. HIFS Kidsuite has only microwave and mini fridge.

The pools are comprable - both nice zero entry types with things to do. But at the HIFS pool, our 4 year old would have to wear a swim diaper. That doesn't really suit us. Both hotels have some kind of kids' program available.

HIFS has free breakfast, and kids eat free. Not true at VV.

If you think you'll actually use the full kitchen and washer/dryer, or like alot of space to spread out, I'd say go for VV. We'd prefer to eat breakfast and most suppers in our suites, so we won't miss the food deals at HIFS.

If you don't plan to cook, and don't really care about the extra space, go for HIFS. The free breakfast and kids eat free deal (might apply to only your youngest) could save you alot of money.

The second bedroom at HIFS is semi-private, it doesn't have a door just a privacy curtain; don't know if this would be an issue for your older children.

We were at HIFS with our 3 children (11, 3-1/2 and 1-1/2) and loved it. However, I'm not sure if my kids were older they would have liked it as much. If this is the Vistana you're considering:

I think I'd opt for that with the older kids...it looks much roomier. Although, if the price is WAY more, HIFS would be just fine, also. If the prices are comparable, I'd opt for Vistana. The breakfast at HIFS is great, and if you end up spending $30.00 a day for breakfast, that could be quite a savings, also
