Vistana Villages or wait?

We have a bonus week through RCI....

I have a 2 Bdr on hold at Vistana Villages for December 4-11. Our dates are flexible, as we could go the week after. We would really like HGVC, or if not available OLCC. Vistana was our 5th choice. Should I take Vistana, or hold off and hope for HGVC or OLCC to become available.

I need to let RCI know by tomorrow what my decision is.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Vistana Villages would be far better than OLCC IMHO. I also like the HGVC, but wouldn't hold out at this late date unless you're talking about December 2006.

Yes it is - just about in the middle way point between WDW and SW. it is closer to SW.

You don't have to get on the Interstate to get to disney.

just turn left out of your resort (on ID) and when the roads end turn right - then stay on this road it goes to Disney property.

I agree that the Vistana Villages is a much better resort than OLCC. We visited OLCC in July 2005 and I did not like this resort. The drive to Sea World and WDW is so easy from the Vistana Villages. It's on a section of International that is not busy. So, your drive will be easy. The 2 BR units are HUGE and they are nice.

I agree.........stay with Vistana villages. We have only stayed at Vistana resort, but from all I've read on here over the years, VV is much nicer than OLCC. But OLCC is older so that makes sense. Plus, the location is better for VV.

Go with the Vistana Village. We just came back from there two weeks ago. We loved the place so much, we bought a week every other year. We would have purchased every year, but we already own at another location that we share every other year with our friends. The place was simply beautiful. We ended up buying a two bedroom unit. They really have a great program! The Village is 5 miles away from the MK, and 3 miles away from Sea World. Go for it! I can't wait to get back there next year!

I have stayed at VV two times and would go back in a heartbeat....you cannot beat the location and the units are gorgeous. In my opinion there is not a nicer resort in Orlando...Teresa

Great News! I called lastnight to get a list of all resorts available besides Vistana and to my surprise, the first one he named was HGVC at Seaworld!! Needless to say, I didn't even let him continue. We used our Bonus week for HGVC and will be there Dec 4-11.

Strange that we got that because that is what I first requested yesterday morning and he told me that HGVC usually never comes avaiable because the owners always go back.

The other great thing is we got airfare from Minneapolis to Orlando for $530 total for the 3 of us! We will be in Orlando the 4-11 and Daytona Beach the 11-13. Now I just have to try to find cheap car rental!

Thank you to everyone that helped me out! Thanks to you, my DH, DD7 and myself will have the best trip ever! This is our first time using our Timeshare since we purchased in Feb. '05.
