:flower: I am so happy, I am finally able to post, as I was having technical difficulties! Our trip consists of Me(45) DH (48) DS(16) and DD(9) We have reservations for the Vistana Villages from April 18-26. We have a rental car from Dollar rental. We purchased 3 day Disney tix and 4park Orlando Flex tix from Ticketmania, which are good for 14 days. the Flex tiickets are good for IOA, Universal studios, Sea World, and Wet and Wild.We have 6 Q&C meal vouchers. So far our cost breakdown is as follows:
Airfare from Bufalo to Orlando $590
Hotel at airport for 1 night $100 - Our plane leaves at 5AM and it was going to cost 80 dollars to park the car at the Airport, so this was definatly a good deal, we got a Sheraton with an indoor pool!
Vistana Village 2 bedroom lock-off (1400 sq. ft) and rental car $1500 My DH overpaid I know, but he really was trying to do something nice, so I won't tell him!
Tickets for all of the above mentioned parks $1,393.00 from ticketmania
6 Q&C meal vouchers $65.00
Total so far, $3,648 we have paid for everything so far, just need to bring food and fun money! How much do you think we will need? we will have CCards too if we need them. Just not sure how much cash to bring. Our kids each have 150-200 each to bring, for extra souveneirs. We were thinking of maybe trying to go to O'Hanas one night, is it nice? How do people dress for dinner? How hot will it be? thanks for your help!!!

We own at Vistana and love it! We have toured Vistana Villages and it looks even nicer. Have a great trip!

Thanks! are you familiar with the lay-out of vistana villages?I was told that we would be near the pool, just wondering if this would be in a good section. :cool1:

When we were there in 2003 they had just finished the 1st phase so what ever section you are in it is probably going to be brand new and very nice. The only down side is that the resort is a little small (compared to Vistana which is huge). So they may only have one or two pools and less activities than you would get at Vistana. Although a smaller resort may also be a good thing. Hope this helps.

Thanks! do you know if they will tell me ahead of time exactly which building we will be in? Also, how many floors are there at vistana villages?

In Feb, I Stayed In The Vistana Resort, Went To A Huge Supermarket Which Was Real Close To The Vistana Villas.

I Also Went On A Timeshare At The Vistana Villas. It Is Really Nice. You Are Going To Be Real Happy.

Fyi, You Can Call Them & Let Them Know You Have Little Ones, And You Need To Be In A Downstairs Villa, & You Need To Be Within Walking Distance Of The Pool.

I Go Every Year, & I Usually Go To The Supermarket & Buy Some Things I Would Need For Breakfast & Snack.

Important Tip We Always Save Empty Water Bottles, Fill Them With Pink Lemon Aide (crystal Light)put It In The Frezzer The Night The Before The Parks, Put The In A Baggie, & Into A Backpack. I Also Pack Pretels. Great Snack For In The Park.

Ask The Villa When You Call For An Email Of The Activities For The Week, Before You Go, So You Can Have Fun Planning Your Trip.

We Have A Blast With All Of The Activies.

Hope This Helps

Patricia

Congratulations on your trip. My family and I stayed there in 2002 and WE LOVED IT! I'm looking at my pictures from that trip and the buildings appear to have five floors (I didn't get a full picture of the building.) But it is gorgeous.

The one problem that I had was the waterfall. It was very noisy and it kept me up several nights--or maybe it was the anticipation. We were fortunate because in 2002, they offered a SUPER deal on the rooms, I think we paid about $90/nite for a 2 bedroom and even got one of the nights free because we stayed 7 nights. We got this deal thru hotelkingdom.com. We were in Building 6, which is a short walk to the pool area, which my kids who were 4 and 6 at the time liked a lot.

One thing is for sure, you will love having two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a full kitchen and a washer/dryer. Enjoy your trip and post a trip report.
