I have stayed at vistana villages the last two yrs thanks to great prices a hotel kingdom.com
we paid about 120 a nite with 7 nite free for 2bedroom with jacuzzi

However I do not see Vistana Villages available.
We loved the pool at vv and the jacuzzi in the 2bedroom.

Where would you suggest I stay as an alternative?
I know Wyndam palms resort (0r whatever it is called now) has a pretty good deal going, But are there any other options?

it is for my husband, my 7yr old son and myself.
my little guy needs his own bed.
my husband is looking for a jacuzzi in the room, but it isnt a deal breaker if it isnt available.

Looks like this trip will be more universal, ioa, and seaworld.

Cypress Point Grand Villas seem to have similar accomodations. What about the Marriott resort down by Sea World? Does anyone know which Marriott that is?

We were in the same boat- not able to find good rates at V V- so we did book Wyndham Palms.

Try www.tug2.net for their classified ads or www.skyauction.com for their specials. I just bid on a week at Vistana that ended up selling for $348 with fees! I would've tried harder to win but it was for a week I had already booked and would've been penalized if I cancelled at such short notice.

you need to be careful - check the ad carefully - make sure you know what you are buying.

I won a bid for Summer Bay Resort - I bid $151 + $195 exchange fee + $15 processing fee = $361 if what it should have been - but it was $408 - I never got an explanation for what the extra fees were for ....

So dispite winning this bid - I think they should have had the extra charges in the documentation. $47 is alot to just put on at the end.

Ok I have never used sky auction before. In the past I have tried to book orange lake through 11thhourvacations.com and had nothing but problems. Apparently they are somehow affiliated with skyauction.

I think I would feel better if a whole lot of folks would tell me they have had no problems with sky auction and that they got exactly what they were promised.

Do you get to choose the week? Or is it just pot luck after you already have paid for it? What happens if you have to cancel?
does it include housekeeping? Is there anything important I should know?

Please someone help.
I need a sky auction veteran to walk me thru this.

no housekeeping - these are treated as timeshare exchange - you reservation comfirmation - says exchange instead of reservation.

It depends upon what you are bidding - I knew I had to get one particiular week - nephew is playing baseball - so I looked until I found what I wanted and bid on it - at the time I place a bid - I also place a high bid (the maximum amount you would pay). It had to use it twice - so I would recommend it if you find you have to have a particuliar week.

the mutiply weeks bid - I don't know if you get to pick the week you want or the resort does or skyauction does - I can't tell from their description.

I am not checking in here - my brother's family is - so I will definitely tell if they have problems. believe I will heard about it.

the good times they don't share - but if something goes wrong - but do I heard about it.

I used skyauction the first time in May. I bid on a 2 bedroom timeshare in Williamsburg, VA. Won it for $246 total including fees. It was great, no problems.
Just bid again last week on a Ready, Set, Go Auction and won it for $261 total including fees. I picked out a 2 bedroom at Orange Lake Resort in early December. I'm sold on skyauction.

okay I just bid on skyauction for vistana villages. cross your fingers for me!!!

Latenthart,

We were in the same boat as you; we stayed at the Vistana Villiages for 3 years. I was on line the other day at Hotel Mart Usa and they had a Villiage special. If I am not mistaken it was 149.00 plus third night free. This was the first Vistana special I have seen this year. We are staying at the Wyndham Palms Country Club for 89 a night and this is for the 2 bedroom. From all accounts it is clean and very nice if not a little large compared to the Vistana. If you go on line and look at the rooms they appear to be very similar in space with just a different configuration. I think the Vistana special was only for the one bedroom.

i did it.
I bid skyauction. I bid on a ready set go and I won.
My bid was 47 plus fees. Ends up being about 260 for the week.

I havent reserved dates yet. If I am looking for March, when will the dates start showing up?

I am still waiting to pay because I did not have a credit card on file. When will I be billed?
