I keep hearing this mentioned. Can anyone give me any info on it? Is it a hotel or condo? What are the rates like?

I work with timeshare people that promote this resort. It looks really nice from the pics and when I have drove by it.

It is definitely timeshare but others stay there as well. Most of the units are fully equipped with two bathrooms, full kitchen including dishwasher, two bedrooms - one with king bed and the other with 2 queen beds. The family room has a queen sofa bed and off of that is a screened in porch. The newer units are Lakes and Cascades sections. There are a few one bedroom units called "lockoffs" that can be used alone or opened up with a two bedroom unit to make a 3 bedroom. The rates vary depending on the time of year. I have read that people bid on it through Skyauction.com but you can also get an idea of rates from www.starwood.com This is the timeshare division of Sheraton hotels. I live in Canada and we book it thru a tour company called Holiday House. They sell "land only" and we pay around $1600 Cdn for a week. This would convert to about $1200 US.
I have stayed several times with my parents (they are owners) and we love it! They go for three weeks every year and have always loved. They have been owners there for about 15 years now.

We booked it through starwood months ago for $100.00 per night. I was a little nervous about staying here, but the reviews are mostly positive. Good Luck in deciding.

Yes, it's a time share but you don't need a timeshare to stay there. I've gone down to Disney four times, and each time we stay at Vistana Resort (no timeshare). It's really a nice place. The rooms are nice and, depending on what you get, can suit your every need. We always get a two bedroom with a kitchen, living room, etc.

The grounds are HUGE. I think theres 9 pools, but it might be 7. They have at least 3 recreation centres, a mini-golf, a general store, Pizza Hut Express (lol) basketball courts, tennis courts. You name it, they probably got it.

The resor tis also nicely loacted. It's a short, short drive to the World, and also a short drive to International drive. Plus it's just down the road from the Golden Coral, an AMAZING buffet.

See for youself at http://www.starwoodvo.com/resorts/welcome.jsp?resortID=5

Hope I was of some help.

Love,

what did you like best about staying at vistana? Are there alot of activities? We are thinking about taking them up on a special they are offering, but we are used to staying at disney and do not want to be disappointed! Should we stay or spend the whole vacation at disney? Thanks!!
