My DD will be celebrating her 14th birthday on Easter Sunday on the Magic. We would like to do something special for her. I think I remember reading a thread several months ago that DCL has a time period set aside for teen girls to sample some of the spa treatments. Maybe a manicure or something simple .

I think you are right. I memory serves it is on the days you are at St. Thomas and St. Maarten on the Eastern and Grand Cayman and Cozumel on the Western. I know at her age I would have loved it!

There is definitely a teen package offered at the spa during specified times. I don't remember exactly when, but if you go to the spa during ressie time and ask them about it, they will definitely know what you are talking about and can give you the details. I think it's something like a facial and manicure or pedicure combo, if my memory isn't too bad yet!

My 13-yo DD did this on our cruise in July and absolutely LOVED it. She got a manicure and facial, and they also gave her a great little makeup kit to keep. I was relaxing in the Rainforest room when she got done, but as soon as she got back to our cabin she did a "commercial" for the spa treatment that her dad videotaped. LOL! She now thinks working in the spa on a cruise ship would be the IDEAL job...

I think this "teen special" was available only on the mornings we were in port in St. Maarten and St. Thomas. When I first tried to make a reservation (I think the day before we got to SM), they were already booked up, but they called that morning to say they had a cancellation, and my DD was in heaven. It was well worth the price (which I think was about $65...).

I hope you and your DD have a great cruise! We just got the new DCL video in the mail and my DD is begging to take another one...

My DD13 loved it also. It was from 8 until 8 on port days only. It was $69 plus tip for the mini facial, manicure, and pedicure. I read somewhere that now its facial and a CHOICE between manicure and pedicure. All I know is she will enjoy it immensely.
