Vista Cay??? Questions?

I have a reservation at Disney's SSR which is expensive, but I'm happy with. Someone suggested that I stay at Vista Cay instead. It's much less expensive and brand new. Help, dissers... How far is this resort from Disney? I'm traveling with little ones. I really want them to have a great Disney experience. I realize that I would have to rent a car at Vista Cay (drawback), but would have more room in the condo (advantage). Need advice.

I believe that Vista Cay is up by the Convention Center (which would be better suited to Sea World and maybe US/IOA). It is a beautiful complex, but it might be a little bit out of the way for you.

Have you thought about Cypress Pointe Grande Villas? It's less than a mile from the Downtown Disney entrance. We just stayed there, and the 2BR/2BA was very spacious. The second bedroom has two twin beds (as opposed to Cypress Pointe Phase I which has a very small 2nd bedroom with a trundle bed), and there's a sleeper sofa in the living room (although there's plenty of room to put an inflatable mattress if you didn't want to do the sofa).

You can get it through www.hotelkingdom.com for less than $100 a night. They have LOTS of activities at the resort for children (playground, arts and crafts, games, mini golf tournaments, etc.).
