Hi folks:
Looking for some info on Vista Cay. On the website, it looks to be a lovely place but i'm curious to find out what guests might have thought of it. I'm curious about the cleanliness of the units, convenience of location and safety of the property. Any info is much appreciated!

Vista Cay is a wonderful resort. It is gated, so you have to enter a code in order to enter the resort. There is a 10,000 sq. ft. Clubhouse with a great pool and spa overlooking a beautifully landscaped lake. The location is second to none, it is on Universal Blvd., about 6 to 8 miles from Disney property (15 minute drive), 3 miles from Universal (10 minute drive), and only 1-2 miles to Sea World and Aquatica, 10 miles from Orlando International Airport. International Drive is only 1 mile away and has loads of things to do, shopping, restaurants from fast food to high end such as the Capital Grill.

You can rent 2 bed, 2 bath condos, 3 bed 2 bath condos (these come in different sizes), and 3 bed, 3-1/2 bath townhomes with private entrances and garages. Each unit is individually owned, so cleanliness, decor depends on the owner, their management company, etc. The units themselves are high scale with corian or granite countertops, upgraded appliances, fluted kitchen cabinets, just beautiful, and many were furnished with high scale decor, as the Orange County Convention Center is 3/4 mile and the resort was built with the business travelers (bringing their families) in mind.

I can recommend a management company that is on site and I can tell you that each of the units they manage are immaculate. We stayed there two years ago in a three bedroom condo rented directly from the owner. It was huge with a magnificent kichen and a full dining room. Rooms were huge compared to Vistana,Vistana Villages and Star Island(our previous rental units) The furnishings in the unit and clubhouse were very upscale. The pool was lovely. There was a nice clubhouse with pool tables and a movie room. All brand new. At the time(things are always changing)there was not much nearby. If you wanted ice cream or a snack, you had to drive a ways. Not a big deal really. Very centrally located to Disney, Universal and Sea World. I recently checked their prices and it seems they have gone up some since our stay and I would probably have to look for something less expensive if I was booking again. Only negative I can think of was the view, which was of a lake but with the highway directly behind it. BUT, we could see fireworks from Seaworld. I would stay there again in a minute.

There is now a Publix, NYPD Pizza, Chinese Restaurant, and Walgreen's all within walking distance of Vista Cay (next door). More coming, too!

That makes it even better,especially since our kitchen was so beautiful I actually enjoyed cooking in it.

We are renting a condo at vista cay for a week in june 3 bdrm 2 bath, balcony, for a total of $897. Seems reasonable, hoping for the best.
