Now that my VTP trip from January has finally been closed out I thought I would give a little review. Couple things that aren't mentioned or not emphasized enough. Make sure you put the app on your phone and log in to it before you leave home. The biggest delay in the whole thing was trying to log in while at the vending machine. Don't expect your money back quick. When you pick up the VTP it charges $10 on the card. I only used $3.50 in the five days I was there, it took 25 days from the end of my trip and turning in the pass before I actually got the refund. I think if I'm flying SW or any of the airlines that come in on A side I will continue to use it. If I come in on B I will bring my Illinois IPass. I really don't like the idea of going to the other side of the airport to pick this thing up, they really need to put a machine on B. Only other slight issue I had was that there is no cell service in the rental garage, makes it a little difficult to put in the rental plate before leaving.

Yeah, they tweeted about how convenient their returns were and several of us yelled back, what about making pickup easier??? No response. I ended up not picking up the pass because we got in at 11pm and everyone was tired. We would have used it a lot too.

I agree. It took almost a month for my January trip to get closed out and my deposit back also.

FINDING the dang machine on A-side was the thing that took me the longest; it took longer to located the machine than it did for me to get back to the center area where DH was waiting for me. We pretty much only use carriers that have gates on B side, but the amount of time it takes me to go get the toll pass is less time than it takes to sit at all of the booths paying.

Now that Terminal C is about to commence operations, it sounds like the VTP will be available at a total of one out of three terminals. Not great.

Nope, I'm going down in a month. I'll either have my co-worker that lands a half hour before me go pick up the VTP or bring my IPass. If they had a machine on the other side it would be a no brainer.

We used that 2 times. It only took about 5 minutes to set up at the kiosk, really not too bad. However, after that, we bit the bullet and purchased our own pass. Was worth every penny. 1 less stop to make.
