Disney has requested you park at DHS to ride the Gondola. Get off at the Riviera station to visit the resort. If you ignore their reques, you will not be charged
Yes you can park at any resort linked to the skyliner unless the lot is full or temporarily closed. We have not had any issues parking at any resort at anytime while visiting. I have a friend that lives in Alabama that goes to Disney monthly. They always park at Riviera to use the Skyliner for a nice trip around. Just have to get off at certain stops and back on.
Just pointing out to anyone to whom this might be confusing: "always" is relative, in that Riviera opened in mid-December so "always" for something done monthly would be, well, twice.
Past performance does not indicate future results.
No, day visitors are not charged a parking fee. However, whether you can just park at the Riviera to look around may or may not be possible. Both POP and AOA have now posted signs saying that their parking lots are limited to their resort guess only. But, they do not have the nice tableservice restaurants that Riviera does. Perhaps plan a meal at Topolino's, enjoy the resort and ride the skyliner. If you have an ADR, parking should not be an issue.

Yes. Always only meant since it has opened. Didn’t mean to make it sound like always as in the last 20 years. Lol. But that’s where that have been parking.
