We are going to disney, and plan on visiting Islands of Ad/WWoHP for one day at the end of June, after the initial June 18th opening. I'm sure the crowds are going to be crazy, but my concern is getting into the park. We do not have any package or are even staying at Universal (we are staying inside disney). I'd hate to miss it! Do people staying in Universal or have packages for WWoHP mean that those staying outside don't have a good shot at getting in before crowds reach 10? If we arrive early? We are HUGE fans of HP (I even have a tattoo lol) and we booked this trip with every intention of going to WWoHP!

By the end of June, everyone will be able to get into WWoHP but the onsite guests will be able to arrive early. If you get there at opening, you should stand a very good chance to enter the park.

Be there early and your chances are really good! :thumbsup2
As Metro stated, the resort guests and package holders are allowed to enter the park an hour earlier, so there WILL be huge lines BUT you will be able to DO it!!

I was told by Universal reservations that only those who booked the package could get into park 1 hour earlier, so I switched my room only ressie at HRH to the package.

I just spoke with a customer service rep, and she told me that for sure anyone who booked a room only reservation before March 26 would get into the WWoHP. She also said that I would recieve an e-mail prior to our visit with specifics. Very cheerful, and helpful.... I did not ever mention the dreaded words "soft opening" though.....:yay:

we'll be going after the grand opening. i was just concerned about getting in, sometimes i've heard that when crowds reach a 'level 10' (whatever that means...) they close the park to those waiting to get in. Considering we are staying outside universal and don't have a package deal or anything, I wanted to make sure that we would still be able to visit. we'll be getting there real early lol

This is good to know because we plan on the same thing! Going to Disney June 22-29th and plan one day for WWOHP on June 23rd. I really hope we get in. We are huge HP fans and have been waiting for this park to open!! We will be staying at Disney(DVC members) so we plan on arriving before opening to wait in line. Hopefully we will get in.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to find out about height restrictions on the new rides?

Thanks!
