Visiting theme park prior to checking in

Hi, I have not been to WDW since magic bands have been issued, last visiting a few years ago. I booked a 6 day package at CS with 6 day park tickets. Will I be able to use the magic bands to go to a theme park first thing in the AM, or will I have to go to the hotel for the bands to be " activated"'or something.

I'm just looking to arrive prior to rope drop and want to see how early of a morning I'm looking at.

I was told that if you do online check in then your tickets become active at the time you state that you will be arriving. So, for instance, if you did online check in and said you were arriving at 8am, then your tickets would be active at that time. But I haven't tried it yet. We will be going in June and I'll test it out then.

Yes, you can go straight to the parks with your magic bands. We always go to the parks before going to the hotel. The only time you have to go to the hotel first is if the magic bands are shipped to the hotel because you trip was reserved less than 30 from arrival.

Yes, do the online check in. You can have them text you your room number and then you can avoid the front desk altogether. Just make sure your magic bands and park tickets are all linked to your My Disney Experience account.
