Are they letting people visit the fort right now? We’ll be staying at poly 1/30-2/2 with a toddler and were wondering if we could drive over for the playgrounds

I think @bama_ed just posted on another post today that you need a reservation at the Fort or someone's site information you are visiting or on their reservation. You cannot drive over and just visit the Fort on your own.

Shoot okay thank you. That stinks. I’d rather be in control of our transportation but I guess we’ll have to take a boat over if that’s what we wanna do

I think the easiest thing for you to do, @Haley R, monorail over to MK and boat or bus to the Fort. There is a newer childrens playground just up from the boat dock at the Fort that sounds like it would suit your needs. It's just off the dock between the Settlement Trading Post on the left and Trail's End restaurant on the right.

If you bus in from MK, walk down towards the lake in front of Pioneer Hall and Trail's End and you will see the playground on the right.

We stayed there last year and he liked that playground! I was hoping we could drive to save time but it sounds like that isn’t an option

even if you got a guard to let you in, you would need to take a bus to playground as there is no car parking near there
