My sister in law and her family will be camping at FW in January. We are staying off site but would like to visit them at the campground. Can we drive right to the campground and park there if we are not staying there?

Your family will need to give your names to the Security Guards and then you will need to park and ride a bus into the area where your family is staying as only one car is allowed to park at the site....or you can call ahead and have them drive up to the parking lot to pick you up....either way they will need your names to clear you to visit per their policy....have a great visit

djblu is correct. Our DS and his family visit us while we're at the fort. If your SIL is in a motorhome with no car, you can drive to the site. Just make sure your SIL lets the front desk know when you will be arriving.

Isn't there a parking lot you can park in w/o going through security. You just turn into the lot past (or before depending on where you are coming from) the guard shack. That is where you would park for HDD or RC (when it was open) and then take a bus to the loop. I assume that would be easier. I hope it will work because that is what I plan to tell my aunt.

Yep, they can go to the overflow lot, then take a bus to your Loop.
