Is Santa near City Hall at MK the best way to let our daughter meet him while at the World? We won't be doing MVMCP but we'd still like our daughter to get to ask Santa for what she'd like for Christmas.

Not sure if there's a better option?

I haven't been to Downtown Disney yet this holiday season, but Santa is always there to meet with the children. That is another option for you. :santa:

Your children can meet Santa and Mrs. Claus next to the American Adventure at EPCOT each afternoon from 1:30pm thru 9:00pm.

The Downton Santa forces you to order a photo package though... I think all of the deluxe resorts have Santa too... We have met him at both AKL Jambo and Kidani and usually there is very few people waiting. They had a bigger line at Jambo for the Christmas Disney characters and no one for Christmas Donald at Kidani. We always see Santa on Christmas Eve.

Thanks! We didn't know about Santa and Ms. Claus at Epcot - that'd be great. We'll be there Sunday .

Also didn't know Santa showed at the resorts, is that only on/near Christmas or through the holiday season?

My family had a meet & greet with Mickey & Minnie (dressed in their holiday outfits) in the AKL on Xmas Eve. We had to wait in a short line.

Santa was on the other side of the Xmas tree all by himself, :sad1: looking lonely. So my kids walked right up and hopped on his lap!

We have also found several Santas from the various countries in World Showcase at Epcot. So much fun to see the difference in the various "Santas" and children can see how children across the world have their own traditions, too. :)

I agree! Who wants to see Santa when you can see the holiday characters! LOL

Just curious...How did you get a meet and greet with Mickey and Minnie? :confused3

HINT: for the Epcot location. If you time it right, you'll get to listen, and possibly view, a lot of the Candlelight Processional while you wait in line to meet with Santa and Mrs. :thumbsup2

As you enter MK Santa will be to your immediate left, there is a little alcove back in there that he sits, we have been to MK several times this month and the line has not been terribly long to see him.

As we walked out of our room at AKL on Christmas Eve, all dressed up to go to dinner at 1900 PF, we looked down into the lobby & saw Mickey, Minnie, & Santa around the Christmas tree. The line was very short (we were 5th maybe?) for Mickey and Minnie (and as I stated earlier, Santa was sitting in his chair all by himself). We got autographs & pictures before we headed off to dinner. It was perfect timing for us because that is the night my family was all dressed in our matching Disney-themed holiday outfits, as were Mickey & Minnie.

During Christmas time, AKL has the different Mickey & Friends characters for meet & greet in their Christmas outfits. You might get Mickey & Minnie, or you might get Goofy and Donald or some other combination.

Several years in a row we have gotten a Christmas Card picture with Santa and Mrs. Claus at Epcot in American Adventure. It always turns out great and gets a laugh from people as our kids are enjoying the FL weather and are in shorts and short sleeves while Santa and Mrs. Claus are quite bundled up!!
