Hello,
Can AP guests visit the resorts yet by driving up to the resort and not taking the Disney transportation.
This is something I always enjoyed doing pre pandemic.
I like to go over to a resort eat shop and enouy the grounds.

Before the shut down they were getting very strict- basically you needed a ressie to get in the deluxe and some moderates- or a blue card.

parking at TTC is always an option too. We did that in December and went around to the monorail resorts.

we drove up to AOA back in March and got in no problem, we told them we were at AKL
and needed to eat at AOA because we had food allergies.

Caribbean beach and Port orleans were always easy to get into, not sure what it will look like in the next few months

IME it's hit and miss. We tried to visit AKL just to see the animals on a rest day recently and were turned away but we've never had issues parking at Contemporary to shop, which others have said is the hardest resort to pop into without a dining reservation.

Be prepared to be turned away and pleasantly surprised if you aren't :)

I'm a right to assume that "getting turned away" only applies to driving up? I assume I can still take Disney transport to any resort, and hang out there, reservation or not, correct?

That was my experience last month. We did have dining reservations at Whispering Canyon, but we were not asked or anything when we used a boat from MK to get there. We were never asked anything when using Disney Transport.

We've certainly never had any issue doing it that way.

I know that I can take Disney Transportation to visit the resorts no problems; however I would prefer to drive up. Disney transportation adds so much time onto the visit. I can drive up and be there in 15 minutes in contrast I need to drive to a park and park or to TTC and part then wait for the bus or boat, before I am on my way to the resort i want to visit. A 15 minute drive becomes much longer. I used to spend so much money at different resorts. I grabbed lunch or bought resort specific merch. or even rented a bike at WL or a boat. Now the off site restaurants like Fords get my money instead.
