Hello

I typically enjoy visiting different resorts while I visit the world and for the first time I will be renting a car and not using the Disney bus/boat transportation.

When I pull up to the gate can I just say I am there to visit the resort?

I enjoy walking about and taking pictures, maybe a snack or a drink at the pool bar, that sort of thing. I am not interested in parking all day to visit a close by park theme park or doing anything I wouldn't be supposed to.

Really just want to walk around and take it all in. Let me know your experiences if you have done this as well

We do this all the time :thumbsup2 Just roll up on the security booth and let them know your visiting and they will give you a parking permit good for 2 to 3 hours to put on your dashboard.

My DH and I do this all the time. I think Disney doesn't mind if you walk around check out the grounds at other resorts because the next visit you may stay in a more expensive resort. That works for them!

We stay on-site and like to visit some of the other resorts in our car. We show our resort parking pass and, I think last year, we were also asked for ID. I think this happened at the Poly, POR, and Boardwalk. We didn't drive to any of the other resorts so don't know if they are doing this as well.

We were let through into the resort without being given a 2-3 hr pass.

Thank you all, I was hoping thats what you would all tell me :)

I think I enjoy resort hopping as much as the parks, and with a car it willl be even easier to do so this year :)
