We usually would do a vacation package which would include a visit to other parks besides Disneyland. Now that my sister is a DVC member I wonder if tickets to other parks can be purchased at the hotels or online?
Does Disney have a bus that would take one to Knotts Berry Farm from the Grand California Hotel? We use to arrive early enough in the day that we could go over to Knots Berry Farm for 1/2 a day and also visit the Wax Musuem. The last time I was there ( 2009) there was no longer a bus leaving in the afternoon to Knots Berry Farm. Just wondering about transportation between Disneyland Hotels and other parks.
Although not planning on going for awhile I am looking ahead as to what plans to make when we do go again.
Thanks in advance,

Disney is not going to offer transportation to take you to a competing theme park. However, the ART system has a bus that goes from the Disneyland area to Knott's and other nearby tourist attractions. I'm not sure about the tickets. If you call the Disneyland Hotel, they could tell you --- or you might find info on their website.

I don't know about purchasing tickets to other theme parks at DLR, but I wouldn't - you could probably find better deals at the ticket booths with coupons or purchasing on a park's web site.

As for getting to Knott's Berry Farm, here ya go.

I would purchase tickets at knotts directly (i'm about 99% sure they won't sell Knotts tickets at Disney Hotels) and its not very far, you could hop in a taxi and get there in 10 minutes or less.

The wax museum is closed down.

Metro 460 is a better choice - cheaper, more frequent, and takes less time from DLR to KBF.

Thanks for all the quick replies.:)
I didn't know the Wax Museum had been closed. When I was there in 2000 my friend & I went there and to Knotts Berry Farm.
I only went to Disneyland & California Adventure in 2009. Enjoyed both.:goodvibes

You could combine a trip to KBF with a dinner show at Medieval Times or Pirate's.

We were at DL in late March.

Did Knotts and Seaworld.

Used a website called Wildatwork.com for our tickets..

Knotts tickets cost .$28.99 adults and $21.99 for kids..

Seaworld tickets were $20. cheaper .. for adults.

we got a taxi to Knotts.. we had a party of 6, and I think it was about $45 .
and hired a car for Seaworld $99..

you can do grayline coach tours includes transportation and ticket into parks, but they leave at 9am and you dont get to San Diego till about 10.30/11am, and they leave about 5pm. so for us it was not enough time in the parks.. Grayline will cost you anything from $ 80. and above for tickets..
