Someone told me this but I want to know if this can actually be done. We are meeting up at US/IOA with friends who are going to be staying at HRH but I don't think our budget for this trip is going to allow us to stay there so we are thinking about staying off-site.... I was told by someone who has been before that even if we stayed off-site that we could go and use the pool at HRH with our friends as "guests" of our friends. Is this true? Really wouldn't hate to get there and get embarrassed by them telling us we had to leave. TIA

You don't get wristbanded or anything at the pools so as long as you can get through the gate (someone needs a room key), I can't see where it would be an issue.

Of course there's an issue. You're not a paying guest. As someone that stays there, I'm incensed that non-guests would even think of showing up.

If you speak to front desk, explain about visitors, i know people have had relatives visit them and been able to use the RPR facilities when we where there, it was a 1 of visit not everyday, and think they had to pay $20 parking for the day

Thanks for the replies! I think I will call the Universal Resorts and inquire about this just so we don't break any policies at their resorts.

I feel sure there would be no issue as long as you are with a "paying" guest who has a room key (when we were there two weeks ago, we showed one room key for four people). This happens so seldomly that I don't see how it could make any difference in crowd levels at the pools - so where's the harm?

I agree. Since you'd be paying your parking fee and most likely paying through the nose for drinks and food --- I'd think the hotel would be pleased to have occasional guests, just as they welcome visitors into their restaurants and bars.

If it was just a hot tub --- then I'd see a problem but the pool is huge.
