Visiting DLR 5/23-27

Greetings.

Looking for some help planning our DLR trip here. We will be celebrating DD#1's 10th birthday.

Basically, I'm trying to figure out how I can find some deals on the trip. I think it is still the kids fly free promotional period.

We are stuck between staying at a DLR hotel or a "Good Neighbor" hotel.

Any suggestions would be great.

If you are looking for deal I wouldnt plan on staying on site! That wont be a money saver at all. We really like the candy cane inn. Its close, clean, has breakfast and a private shuttle (its close enough to walk in less then 10 mnutes, but the shuttle makes it even nicer!). There are a lot of other good properties in the area. Just depends on what you are looking for.

If you are looking at kids fly free, you'll need to book a package. It is the only way to get the promo fares. Costco offers the best deal, if they have the hotel you are looking for. They offer a character meal and $20 gift card for the same price as Disney travel. We were unable to book through them because we wanted the candy cane hotel and they dont book that one. But its worth checking out!

You might check on airfare with out the kids fly free and see what you can find. Sometimes the kids fly free isnt the savings that it should be. You have to pay higher adult fees, and that eats up the savings. I've been able to use it the last two trips, but in the past it hasnt worked for us. Not sure where you are flying from, I recomend Long Beach (lgb) or Orange County (sna) airports if you can get a flight into either of them.

we booked through Alaska Air and are staying at Fairfield Inn by Marriott.
There's no other extras with our package.

I would check Coscto out and Alaska Air [but I guess that would depend on where you're at...] check Costco, our friends used them last month to go on their first trip. They stayed at Carousel Inn and liked it.

We will be leaving the day you are arriving! So Close! We are going to be there from the 19th to the 23rd.

Wow we will be arriving May 24th & leaving May 28th. I am debating between Candy Cane Inn & ParkVue. This is my 2nd time going to DL went Dec 05 stayed at PPH loved it had the best time. We also went to WDW this last Dec for our first time.This trip it will be myself, my cousin & my bestfriend.So excited . We are debating between the two I know Parkvue is a few minutes closer but the CCI shuttle is sure sounding better & better each time I read about it.I am sure we will walk most of the time but you just never know what a blessing the CCI shuttle can be. Well I hope you & your family will have the best time wherever you stay.

Hi we'll be there the first week of June and picked the Candy Cane Inn !!! we are very excited!! it's our first trip!
