Hi - we are taking our soon to be 7 year old DD to DLP in 8 weeks. We've been for the last 4 years but did not go last year as we went on a Disney cruise instead. Anyway, she is mentally and physically disabled and I think I've got all of that tied down and worked out from previous visits but can anyone tell me if anything has changed majorly, like it has at other parks, in regards to disabled people visiting? The website indicates it's the same as it's always been but I thought I would check with those that have been recently as well.
Also, we are waking up there on her actual birthday. Apart from a cake in a restaurant which I believe I can order as we sit down, is there anything else fun/different we can arrange and/or pay for to make her birthday extra special? We are staying at Davy Crockett this time if that makes a difference (having a kitchen will make a world of difference for administering/storing her medicine)... Maybe it's just easier to stall her arrival at the cabin while I quickly decorate it myself?
As I say, we didn't visit in 2014 so if anything has changed or you have any special ideas, I would love to know. Thank you
