Hello! (Or should I say, "Bonjour!"?) I've been irregularly monitoring this Board because my BF and I will be vacationing in Paris at the end of September and hope to spend a day at DLP, probably Sunday the 29th. We've been to DL many, many times and to WDW twice, but never to DLP. Any advice for first-timers?

I think I've figured out how to get there on the RER (Mobilis pass, or something like that). If we buy our DL entry tickets before going to the park, I understand we should be able to bypass the lines of ticket buyers. Is the line/entry for ticket-holders pretty obvious?

Are there any must-dos that we ... er, must do? I'm particularly looking forward to Space Mountain 2, as well as any DLP-specific attractions/rides. We'll probably have dinner after we return to Paris, but is there any place we absolutely, positively should have lunch? Are there any snacks peculiar to DLP (e.g., DL would be unthinkable without churros!) that we need to try?

I'm really excited (  ), and any advice or suggestions will be appreciated! :)

Teresa

P.S. Due to budget constraints, we will only be buying the "one park" tickets. Maybe next time we can visit the Studios.

Hi Teresa and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, DLP posting rules are here, DIS posting guidelines can be found here.

Given that you are only spending one day in the park you may want to have a quick counter service lunch.
Fuente del Oro sells churros :)

Hi teresa!

My favourite part of DLRP is the castle! Its' truly beautiful so makes soure you visit the gallery upstairs and the dragon underneath!!

Space Mountain is great!! But thunder mountain is my favourite ride!! Its amzing as the paris one is on an island and you go under tunnels at the start and end to get out there!

Also make sure to see the parade :)

I looved the churros in DLC but never even considered looking for them in DLRP, (will be next time!!)

Hi there! :wave2:

If you want a really fun lunch, I would recommend coming out of the park and going to Cafe Mickey for a character lunch- It's soooooooooooo Disney!!! It can be a bit expensive though, but we thought it was very worth the money. If you're only in the park for one day though, it might be better to grab a counter service meal or something?? Depends what you're after though.

I love and adore Pirates of the Carribean, Buzz Lightyears Laser Blast, and Phantom Manor as rides, but I have never visited another Disney park, so I don't know how these compare.

As far as snacks go, a Mickey Brioche is quite a popular little snack (Like a sweet bread roll filled with Nutella)........ :goodvibes

There's a dragon under the castle?! Awesome!

And a Mickey Brioche sounds like exactly what I need. Yummers!

Thanks for the tips. :goodvibes

and dont forget to go up onto the balcony of the castle to wave at your kingdom down below

I got some great tips here, but I'm bumping this up because of my question about whether the ticket-holders' line in front of the park is obvious or tricky to find.

When you arrive it's very obvious. If you've got tickets already you just walk past the people paying at the ticket booths and go straight to the turnstiles to enter the park. :) There are several turnstiles ~ just pick the one which looks like it has the least people waiting to use it although that's no guarantee it will be the quickest! :rotfl:

Are there any must-dos that we ... er, must do?

Space Mountain is AMAZING! and BTM is very cool...

If you have the time to fit it in, you can eat lunch while watching the live 'Lion King' show in the videopolis food court...

The Nautilus is worth a walk through (I don't think it's in any other Disney park) and you have to try the Indiana Jones temple of peril 'coaster!
