Visiting DL on a MM day but do not have MM

I want to visit DL on our last vacation day. We haven't been here in 20 years but visit WDW all the time and love to end our vacation at MK. We plan to visit earlier in the week and use our one MM day that day as we will be less tired.

But, our last vacation day is on a Saturday and DL has early hours and we won't be able to take advantage of them.

The other option would be to visit DCA on this Saturday (no early hours) and hop over to DL at night to end the night there.

We have two DL mornings and 1 DCA morning planned (with some non-Disney days in between. So, if I change to the above option, I would be hitting DL for two mornings before I hit DCA. Not sure I like that idea as I know the kids will want to go on RSR and not sure they can wait until our last vacation day.

Thoughts? Will DL on a Saturday be ridiculous to do without the early morning hour?

Your arriving after EMH/MM and whether to go to DCA will only matter if you get to DL within the first hour of opening. If you are later arriver it will not really matter.

If you arrive early and are ready to go when DL opens, then it will matter. DL's MM/EMH only has open Fantasyland and Tomorrowland. So if you head into DL and start off in Adventureland or Frontierland, NOS, etc., you will not be at a disadvantage with the EMH/MM folks. If you do that then your first DL day should definitely be focused on Fantasyland in the morning.

Thanks HydroGuy - that makes total sense. We have teens so once through Fantasyland on Day 1 will be enough. Now, they will want to do Space Mountain and Matterhorn as many times as possible so I will probably run and get a FP for Space at opening.
