Hello folks! I'll visit DL Paris around Sept 20. My questions is, would it be better to go on a Saturday or Sunday when they're open longer or go on a Monday or Tuesday when they're not open as long but there will likely be fewer people. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Cheers,

P.S. Title should read "Visiting DL *in* mid September.

This is just my opinion, but I would go for midweek. I have been twice on weekdays in September and many rides were a walk on. The weather was very pleasant and it was a relaxing, lovely experience both times. Crush's Coaster still had big wait times (we waited around 20 mins for this, running there first thing) but this is the longest we waited for anything.
Therefore I think you would get more out of a weekday, manage to do more things and not waste time waiting or pushing through crowds.
Others might recommend the weekends though and in the end it is your choice! You will have a great day no matter when you go.

Thanks Lola. That's exactly the kind of info I was looking for. I think I'll take you advice and go during the week. But it's really hard to accept a 6:00 closing time. Very odd for a Disney park. Then again, Paris isn't Southern California ;-).

Yes it is a real shame, when we were there last September the main park was open until 7pm. I don't understand why they have made it earlier this year.
European weather is rather unpredictable but it really was just right last September and also in 2006. I hope it will be the same for you this year!
You can always enjoy a meal in Cafe Mickey or elsewhere in the resort as well as shopping in the Village after the park closes, so you are still in the Disney bubble :)

I agree - definately go mid week if you can. You will get to see so much more, and get all those classic Disney pics without getting peoples elbows in them! There are some beautiful parts of the park which you don't get to see when it is crowded. There are loads of shops in the village which are open later than 6pm so save your browsing for the evening, as well as your evening meal - that way you make the most of your time in the park.

Echoing the above replies, I completely agree - go midweek!

Weekends the parks are open later, but you spend the majority of the time in crowds and queues and it can be a rather unpleasant experience. I have found that on one day, during the week, I was able to ride pretty much all of the rides (BTM, SM, Crush, RnRC, Indiana Jones, etc) on that same day - whereas when the weekend rolled along - I only managed to ride FOUR rides that entire day!! It was awful and that evening I couldn't help but think I had wasted a day queuing when I could have seen much much more...

Definately go for a weekday! And as the others were saying, although the park closes early - you can still be very Disneyfied as you can spend time in Disney Village in the shops or having a meal with the characters at Café Mickey. My personal favourite thing to do in the evening at DLP is to have a walk around Lake Disney and explore all of the hotels. You can walk in and out of all of them and there is so much to see and do in them all - characters are still around in the evenings for Meet and Greet at the Hotels also...

Whenever you do decide to go, you're going to have a fantas'mic' time!!

midweek for us as well, we often go in the middle to the end of sept and its a lovely time of year to go, parks are quiet, weather is nice - warm but not hot. We are going a little ealier this year so we will see what its like. But def reccomend a walk around the lake at the end of the day and save your shopping for the villiage so you will still be in the disney bubble after the parks have closed. We tend to get up and out early and make use of the extra magic hours so by 6-7pm we are near enough ready for a slow walk back to the hotel, followed by a realxing bath and then disney tv and bed!

Thanks again everyone. In view of all of your advice, I'm 99% sure I'll go on a Monday ... although I am tempted by the later hours on Sunday. I can't believe that they close at 6:00 on a Monday. Oh well. I'm going to DL Anaheim about three weeks later so this should serve as a nice appetizer :-).

Bonjour!

Rob

Folks, leaving for Paris today. Any updates on crowds at DL Paris? Should I still hold off my visit till Monday to avoid the weekend crowds?

Cheers,

Rob

The people who have returned recently seem to have been saying crowds are quote low.
Remember weekends are when the locals visit so it will always be busy! But you will gave a wonderful day whenever you go, please let us know about your trip when you return!

We arrive first thing Sunday morning via the high speed from Brussels. Even though it is a Sunday and our room won't be ready we plan to just walk the park, no rides, just look the little things that make this park different from what we know. Then we plan to ride on Monday and Tuesday when the lines should be lower.

Have a wonderful trip!
