Hi Everyone!

I am new here and will be taking my first solo trip to Orlando/Disney in December since nobody wants or is able to go with me. I am kind of nervous/uncertain about the idea (lonliness factor, will it be as fun alone, etc.) but feel I really need the trip to relax and de-stress! I am 23, and extremely outgoing. I would love to meet up with others that will be at Disney next month. I think having others to explore the parks with, or make other plans with would make the trip a lot more fun! Is anyone interested?! Let me know! :)

What are your Dates that you are visiting? People seem extra friendly at Disney and are open to chatting with strangers. Just think you get to do whatever and whenever you want! Enjoy!

I will be in Disney on the 11th (most likely a tour of Epcot and Hollywood Studios). If you're in on that date and interested in meeting up, feel free to PM me. I'm 22, and female (I assume by your SN that you are as well, sorry if I'm wrong ^^;;). Solo trips can be very fun, but it's also fun to meet up with people, even just for a couple of hours.

Hey, congrats on the upcoming trip! Yeah, a solo trip to WDW does sound overwhelming at first. But regardless if your going with family, friends, or even by yourself, you're bound to have a blast. I took a solo trip down there two months ago (I've still YET to do a letter of appreciation for the resort!:scared1:) and I have committed myself do making trips down there solo or not very frequently... that is once my debts are settled. :P

Seeing as this is your first solo trip, I just want to say that the main thing to remember is to let loose, relax, and have fun. Do stuff you never even conceived of doing in the presence of people you know. Also, interact, socialize with guests and cast members. Of all the places that I have ever been to, WDW is just about the only place I know of where you can easily chat and strike up a conversation with other people and feel very comfortable doing it. :)

All that said, just relax, and have fun. A trip like this just might be a life-changer for ya.

Thanks everyone! I am planning on most likely going from Dec 9th-16th or 17th, so some company would be wonderful!

I'll be going 12/11-16 so you are welcome to join me at any time.

Verstehen and feistygalkmc- I would love to meet up with you both. We will have to plan something :)

Sure, the only night I already have plans is 12/13. I have an ADR with a friend at Kona....would either of you be interested in joining? It isn't until 905, I couldnt get one until then but I could try calling disney dining to see if we could add to our party.

I know that I will be at MK the first day and would like to do some resort hopping to see all the decorations and possibly grab an adult beverage while checking out the Christmas decor. Let me know if you are interested!

That sounds awesome! Alas, I will only be able to do Saturday because I have to work during the week.

Maybe we could do a resort tour if you guys are interested on sat night? I arrive super early on the 11th around 1130am so I probably won't be headed out until around 2ish to mk. We could meet at poly and make our rounds at the monorail hotels then head over to the bw area to check those resorts out? I very loose on plans so whatever works

The reason I want to do Epcot and HS is because those are the only two parks I haven't seen the Christmas decorations at, and this'll be my last chance before the end of the season, but I am indeed open to other things like resort tours. Went to GF a couple weeks ago, though, so I'm pretty much over that one, but I would like to check out Polynesian and Contemporary at some point.

Ah gotcha, well actually I was thinking of doing studios the night of the 11th If you want to meet up for that? I'm there for a while so I can resort hop some other day lol

Lol, I don't want you to change your plans, since it's your trip too :) But if you do decide to do HS on the 11th we can probably meet up. Are there any decent counter service places for dinner there?

See that's just it...I have no real plans lol I just have an idea of what I want to do what day I do it on, I really don't care. As long as I get to go to each park and I want to see the Osbourne lights.
I haven't had any counter service there before. I have been looking around and Starring Rolls has been getting decent reviews. I do know they have excellent cupcakes, or that's what I've read anyway lol

Anything you ladies are up for sounds good to me. HS on the evening of the 11th would be fun, and I was thinking I'd go to MK during that day as well. I Would also love to do resort tours at some point in the trip. I have been to disney during the holidays before, but we were always in such an unnecessary hurry, that I never got to actually stop and enjoy the amazing christmas decor! I also definitely want to spend a some time at AK!

What do you enjoy doing most at the parks? For me, I have always been a huge ride junkie since I was a kid, but I really enjoy the shows as well.

Rides, for sure. I've become better at doing thrill rides, though I still don't think I'd be up for Rock and Roller Coaster...

Really? It's a great ride, I'm sure if you tried it you would love it. I love thrills, but I'll admit my first time doing tower of terror I almost had a panic attack, I was so scared!! I'd have to say Everest at AK is my favorite.

Rock N Rollercoaster is awesome! I rode it twice on our May dismeet. I am not really into the shows haven't seen one, I'm more exploring the parks, rides & shopping of course lol I also love exploring WS that is probably one of my favorite things to do. There are certain things that I like to do in each park but nothing is really a 'must do' for me. If I get to it, fine and if I don't that's ok too. My faves at each park would be MK-haunted mansion, AK-Everest, Epcot-Soarin & Test Track, HS-TOT, RNR & TSM. I haven't been to Wilderness Lodge or AKL so I want to go check those resorts out as well, especially since they will be decorated for the holidays.

I haven't spent much time in AK only about a half day it was just way to hot last October when I went so I went back to FQ and hung out by the pool until my friends arrived later that day. That is another favorite thing to do-spending time at the pool, even after hours pirate:

Wilderness Lodge is hands down my favorite hotel. I've already decided that when I start a family, the first place we're going to stay in Disney is the lodge. Last month when my mom came to visit we spent a weekend there and were given a room on the club level since they overbooked the main floors. So awesome.

Hi there :)

I've been travelling on my own for almost all my life.. and i just love it :) is so much easier and relaxed.. Sharing moments with someone special is fine for sure but think about all bad things of travelling together .. When you travel alone you can really visit only the places you wanna see and do not have to bother about your partners mood..
