We are visiting Disney World with family in a few months. My parents are staying at the campground in their travel trailer; we are staying at a value resort.

Can we park our vehicle in or outside of their campsite, or is there a special permit we need or a fee we need to pay to do this. My parents will already have a truck there also.

Also, will parents get into any trouble if they let one of my children spend the night in the travel trailer with them? I doubt anyone would even know she is there, but don't want to get any of us in trouble.

Most of the sites are only big enough for 1 vehicle. You can park with your value resort parking pass at the front and bus in or they can pick you up with their truck.
You can add your daughter to their reservation for no charge, IF they have site only reservations. If it's a package they will charge.

Have your parents check with the front desk, we had people visit us in 2014 and was told they could park on the same site with us as long as both vehicles were on the pad and off the road. Maybe it depends on who you talk to at the front desk? The next one might tell you have to park in the overflow lot.

We have done this before with friends that were staying at Wilderness Lodge. Their 2 kids wanted to "camp" so they stayed with us a couple of nights at the Fort. I didn't think about telling anyone and no one comes around counting heads. You can have up to 10 people on a site reservation. As long as you don't have more than 8 kids wanting to stay with your parents, I wouldn't worry about it.

It would just be one kid. Our younger one is still too young to be away from us overnight.
And it would be two nights at the very most--likely one.
PP's reply makes me wonder since they bought park tickets with their campground space.
Then again, we all have park tickets.

I'm not sure what Denise (2goofycampers) was referring to. The Fort allows up to 10 people on a site, regardless of if it is a site only or a package. I'm sure she will be along to clarify.

Like you said earlier, they are already on-site guests and no one will come around counting. Disney doesn't care where they are staying as long as it doesn't go over the number allowed per room/site.

FWIW, our friends kids stayed several nights in the camper. The first night was so they could "camp". The next night we all went to the campfire while their parents went out to Victoria and Albert's.

If you add the children to their reservation, everyone on the reservation has to have the same package. So they would charge you for tickets for the kiddos. Since you already have tickets adding them is not an option. Since they are already registered guests I don't think it's a big deal if they visit overnight.

You DO NOT need to add the child to their reservation. They don't care who sleeps where. We have had extended family sleeping all over the place, in different rooms from where they were assigned, and a different number of people at the campsite every night.

CMs really do not want to deal with changing stuff around every day for no reason.

I think the "argument" for adding someone (like this situation) to the reservations might be for ease and access to facilities. For example, Only "Registered Guests" of the Fort can use the Forts Pool. Since the Grandchild is NOT on the reservation, they cannot use the pool (technically). Also, not that it's issue in this case, but the after hours access to the rest rooms may not work with the MB and of course "Gate Access" won't work (again, probably not an issue here).

As Denise stated, adding them to the reservations if it's a PACKAGE, will increase the cost because the packages are by "Person" where if it's a Room/Site only reservation, no additional cost incurred by adding them.

Parking at the site is okay if as long as you are not on the "road" and wholly on the site (on the concrete). Some sites may be more challenging for this than others. You can always park up front and take a bus too.

We've visited my parents at the Fort several time when we were staying elsewhere, and DS has spent the night with them many times. In general we don't register him onto their reservation. The only exception I can think of is an upcoming trip where DS and I are staying with my parents for a couple of nights and we want to use Magical Express, so we needed to be registered so we could book it.

When we've visited with a car we've always parked at the Outpost and take the internal bus or just walked to their campsite (they like the Full Hook up area, which isn't a far walk from the Outpost).

Thank you. I didn't think about the pool. I don't think they will have time to use it since we are pretty much park warriors, but I'll let my parents know just in case. They are in a fifth wheel, so I don't see any of them using the comfort station.

I will go ahead and just not approach the front desk about her staying with them. If she stays with them, it will be to sleep between them in the bed in the fifth wheel and watch Disney movies after official bedtime.

If she takes the boat from the campground to MK, will she have to scan her magic band? Her magic band has her as a registered guest with us at a value.

Nope (at least not yet). Right now, there is no scanning to use any of the Disney transportation (Boats, buses and Monorail) to and from the Resorts/parks/ttc/etc... Perhaps maybe on the Disney Magical Express but if anything, that's probably less of a "Scan" and more of a "Verify" that you on the "List".

May I jump in and ask sorry to hijack do you need a maguc band to use the shower block? If you stay one night with another family?

Showers require Magic Band to access them after Midnight and before 6 AM. The Laundry facilities in the comfort station always require a MB to access them.

So unless you shower during those times when it's locked, you would be able to use them without any issue.

Thank you. I will need to find out if they are zero entry as I am disabled. Thank you for your response.

Showers are definitely zero entry and they have nice roomy ones that are accessible. Nicest campground bathrooms I've ever been to!

How neat! We visited the campground in September fell in love with it. It's just adorable. Thank you.
