I am thinking about taking my 7 year old to Disney World for a few days the week before Christmas. Has anyone been there during this time? How bad is it (i.e. crowds) what's the weather like? Any thoughts you can share would be welcomed.

Thanks

p.s. I am a single parent and we have gone once before but it was in the end of September which was perfect for crowds.

When we were there last year it was packed! The weather was in the 60's which was fine with us, cause it was in the teens back home!
We were loving the weather but hating the crowds. My DH vowed never to go again at that time. We are shooting for the week after Thanksgiving, first week of Dec.

Normally the crowds are ok until a few days before Christmas so you should be ok. Have been a few times this time of year and only had crowd problems from Christmas Day really. Enjoy your trip.

We were there last Christmas. We went the week before Christmas and left the day after. The crowds were manageable. We were able to get on everything pretty easily. I actually expected worse.
For weather, the days were warm, not necessarily hot, but easily T-shirt weather. At night though for whatever reason it was so cold. :cold: We had to buy fleeces becuase I didn't prepare for cold weather in Florida! My son wore his socks on his hands for mittens.
All in all we had a great time and loved spending our Chritmas at WDW. :santa:

I go in the beginning of December and the crowds are too bad! I'm from Michigan, so the weather is perfect for us. lol It's my favorite time in Disney!
