I visited Coronado Springs today for the first time. I called my 'little sister" today ( I am involved with the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization) and asked her if she wanted to go to DTD with me. Of course she said yes. So we went to DTD. She and her family stayed at CS in June for a weekend and she was speaking about it , and the Pepper market , and I asked her if she wanted to go over there for dinner. She was funny, she didnt think "we would be allowed to since we are not staying there" (she is 12). I told her anyone can go over if they want. so we took the bus from DTD to CS, she loved the bus, btw.
I had never visitedthis resort so it would be something different for me to see.
We wandered around a bit then headed over to the main building and over the the pepper market. I oreded food from the mexican area and she ordered from the asian area.. The food was good but not worth the $40.00 it cost for essentiallytwo counter service meals, plus the automatic 10 percent added to the bill, and we ordered it "to go" so we could dine outside.
After we finished eating we walked over to the water and saw a little gator, just swimming around in the water. I thought the resort was nice. And enjoyed poking around there. Then we went back to DTD, had ice cream at ghirardeli then came home.

Glad you had a good time. It sounds like your little sis has a special big sis. :)

Hi!
Back in my 30s, I was a BIG SISTER (through BIG BROTHERS/BIG SISTERS ORGANIZATION) for 1 year to an 11-year old LITTLE SISTER! We had lots of fun together. I used to take her to the movies, out to dinner at McDonalds, walking around the mall, picnics at the park, swimming in the summer, studying for tests and making cookies at my apartment, but I must admit I NEVER did anything as cool as going to CSR for dinner and walking around as you did! Yes, it was expensive, but totally a very cool thing for you to do with your LITTLE SISTER!!!

Hi,
yes, we do have fun together. We have been together for exaclty one year. We have gone to DTD a few times. I have wanted to take her to the Magic Kingdom but her mom wont let me becasue of the cost( I offered to pay but mom says too expensive) but maybe one day :)

What a terrific thing you did/are doing with your "little sis." Glad you went to our favorite resort (we'll be there in 39 days).

People often say that the youth of our country just don't give a damn anymore--you have proved them wrong! pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

What a wonderful day you had! It was really cool to read about someone doing something so nice for a child:) I do however have a scaredy cat question (yes, Iam one)..did you say you girls saw a gater on Dis property????:scared1: I'm the first to admit I'm phobic about that stuff..but..was it really a little gater?
