so we went to CA last week (Tuesday), and had an absolute blast. My 4 year old can now ride everything except California Screaming, so we had a great time bouncing around the park riding basically everything else.
When we woke up it was pouring rain, but by the time we got to the park it was beautiful and stayed that way all day long. The only bummer of the morning was that Tower of Terror was closed for the first few hours.
However, a big pet peeve started later that day. Our 4 year old is a HUGE Lightning McQueen fan. It was advertised that he and Mater would be out, and he was so excited. So at the first designated time we made our way over from Tower of Terror to outside that theater (Golden dreams I think?). There were CM's standing there looking like a pit crew. We walked up.
"Oh, they are stuck in Radiator Springs, so couldn't make it for this showing."
we asked about later...oh, you need to check back. Which we did. Again, and again and again. 4 times we walked over only to find these same folks dressed in yellow telling us they were stuck in Radiator Springs. Not that we had that much to do that day, but come on...make a friggin decision so the kids don't keep having their hopes up in order to have them dashed. I can understand missing one showing...but all of them? Characters are a part of the allure of Disney, and if you take those away, Disney loses alot IMHO.
Add to this the need of the CM's to stay in character (we even went to guest services to ask...their response was "there was a storm in Radiator Springs so they couldn't get out". Um, my kids weren't with me, you can give me a straight answer.
This one thing can definately damper a day...and what would have been a perfect day was definately marred by the fact that we kept hauling ourselves over there for nothing...
sorry to dump...but it was annoying!!!
