I was at Target today and they have a bunch of princess :tink: and pooh pooh: stuff in the dollar spot. They had

iron ons
pencils with stamps on the end
pen that writes in 6 colors
pop up pencils
journals
stickers
erasers
magnetic dolls with magnetic clothes ( like stickers)

can't beat $1

I had never heard of this but what a great idea! I will definitely have to do this for our next trip! Thanks!

I wrote a poem from Tink for every morning when they wake up...for gifts I have:
pjpals
matching shirts (2 nights)
light spinners
small radios from Disney store
baseball caps
disney coloring books
lots of misc. junk......
My DH was talking at our friends house and he asked our friend Kelly, "Did you do fairybell toys when you went to Disney"...she had NO idea what he was talking about :rotfl2: Then she was mad because she didn't do this for her kids!!!!!!! :lmao:

What great ideas! I have twins (boy/girl) who will be celebrating their 5th birthday when we're there in April and it will be so much fun to leave them little notes and gifts from Tinkerbell (or Mickey, Minnie, etc). :)

I did this in 2003 (my DD turned 4 while there): everynight Tink delivered a special gift bag to our room while DD slept. DD ended up getting 4 T-Shirts purchased from the DS before we left home, Disney Themed Pez Dispensers and candy from Dollar Tree, Princess Stickers, Princess Fruit Snacks, gum and who knows what else...... It saved us SOOOOO much money in the parks because DD did NOT want to look in any shops for anything! The only thing we can figure is just that she had already gotten her souvenirs for the day!!!

I'm working on my list for this year, I'll try to post it this week...

I was just at my local Disney store and I picked up some little things one sale - everything was around a dollar and then DD picked up a Twinkle doll from the Higglytown heros, so I picked up a purple Minnie for other DD because they were buy 2 for $10.

I also went to AC Moores and they had Princess mini doodles with four pictures and markers in them. I don't know if I'll use it for Tinkerbell or for the plane.

TInk visited last year and will again this year. I hit the Target $1 spot for a few items. We also went before Christmas and I was able to shop up some great seasonal stuff.

Last year tink brought over the course of 7 nights:
T-shirts (from disney shopping clearance and walmart)
Pencils and crayons from dollar store
Polly Pocket type princess dolls from Walmart and Meijer
Princess Shower Products (Scented bath stuff, soaps)
Pajama Pals from Disney Shopping
A couple of Pins she had seen at WDW
Mickey Lolipops
Glow necklaces from the target dollar spot
Glitter body gel stuff like a princess would wear
Tinkerbell socks

Tinkerbell visited (like santa) everynight while she slept and left the items for her on the dresser. The items were grouped towards what princess she would meet or something she would do the next day.

How about -- WAKE TINK UP at Magic Kingdom!

Just be the first kid in Tinkerbell's store (on the back side of the castle) and ask to wake her up. DS did this when he was 4. They let him use a sword (a wand for little girls) and woke her up. They gave him a special certificate. We took lots of pictures.

You can also put her to bed as the last one out.

Such a magical experience.

I just thought I would let y'all know what I have been doing to start the Tink gift collection. Right now they are doing The Little Mermaid DVD promotion toys in their Happy Meals. I have been getting Happy Meals for lunch and saving the toys in a box for my daughter to get from Tink. If you go to McDonald's web page and click on the link for Happy Meals, you can get a look at the toys that are available.:)

I also learned this idea from the disboard and have been doing it ever since. I love it and I have so much fun putting it out when my dd goes to sleep. I leave it by the front door from the inside. Some item that tink has left before:

-disney coloring book w/princess crayons -tinkerbell watch
-light up spinner -buzz flashcards
-disney plush so she can place in the window cinderella workbook
-disney stickers -disney book(dollar general)
-t-shirts
-socks
-the sticker book you buy @ the gift shop is too cute
-cinderella light up necklace
A lot of these things came from the disney store, and the dollar stores. On the days we go to Universal, I leave spongebob items. I've already bought the treasures for our Jan. trip. Can u believe I forgot to leave an item on our lastnight. My 5yr dd said, "She knew we were leaving". Bless her heart. I will never forget again!!!
Have fun sprinkling the pixie dust!!!

Someone mentioned the mermaid stuff at mcdonalds. I NEED :rotfl: the sunglasses with Arie for my DD4l!! Does anyone know when these will be given out or if they already have? Thanks.

These are all great ideas for DD's, but i have a 3 yr. old DS. Any suggestions for a little boy. thanks.

I was at AC Moore today and found princess stamps and mini markers for $1 a pack. At Big Lots I found princess glitter and bracelets with lipstick in them for $1.

I have gotten DS 5 some coloring books, glow sticks, and some disney cars (matchbook style) -- you can find the "Cars"--themed ones everywhere, but once you get to WDW the gift shops all have the cutest little cars in different themes -- I know we've gotten a stitch one and a monorail "car" -- they are adorable and DS loves them. I've also gotten some small toy story figurines (try Target/Wal-Mart), magic washcloths & a Tigger toothbrush. Hope this helps with ideas for boys!

I hit the jackpot yesterday at the Dollar Tree and found a special something for each of our 5 girls for each night we are there - all Ariel - themed. So it will be Ariel that leaves our gifts, not Tink. I got a little stuffed mermaid, stamps, paper & markers ... stuff like that! They are so cute and the girls will be so excited! I was even thinking maybe I could somehow leave some drops of water around the gift, instead of glitter?!?!? And I am still trying to figure out how to do the notes. We leave in 14 hours!

The Tink gift thing was definitely one of the best ideas I got from the DISboards! We've done it both of our family trips and it's been a huge hit! I believe it has helped with behavior and discipline because Tink only visits us if the kids are good. If they get whiny, etc. during the day I just have to remind them of Tink and they get instantly better. The only problem I've encountered is when DD made a new little friend at the pool and asked what Tink brought HER. Kind of awkward. It's also a bit of a pain to pack Tink gifts for two kids for 7 or 8 nights. Totally worth it, though!

Someone asked about boy Tink gifts. DS was 3 last trip and Tink left him Toy Story cars and a bendy plastic Stitch from Disney Store, Pooh markers, an Incredibles soft frisbee, Disney band-aids from Dollar Tree, some Nemo gummies, Disney stickers and temp tattoos, and I got a couple of those Hotwheels size character cars while we were at WDW.

I got them this past week. They aren't quite what I would call sunglassees, but they are cute! I only need 2 of the toys to complete the Ariel collection. :cheer2:

I've been doing this since dd's first trip at age 2. It's Mickey that visits us and he also leaves a note and something for grandparents. My mom has been with us many times and of course knew it was me, Dh's mom went to WDW for the first time ever with us last Jan. and she was so excited and thrilled Mickey left her a note and present. She kept going on about it to my mom and finally my mom tolds her "it's all a Scam!" Poor Nanny was so crushed! Magic is Magic no matter how old you are. :rotfl: Nanny will be going again in Nov. for dd's bday and Mickey will still leave her a present and I bet she will be just as excited as DD!

Sorry if this is a repeat post but I read some where here on the dis of a poster leaving "notes" from Tink--very very tiny print (from computer) and leaving a magnifying glass! I LOVE this idea and plan to use it. By chance, DD received a little magnifying glass in a goody bag from a party--looked like something from Party City.
