I don't have a Disney Visa card, but I do have a travel-focused Visa Signature card (Chase Sapphire Preferred). Does anyone know if there are any in-park or on-property Disney perks available to VS cardholders in general or CSP cardholders in particular?

Kinda assuming it's Disney Visa folks only, by you never know, can't hurt to ask, might get lucky.

I don't know about the Sapphire card, but our Signature Visa will reimburse for up to $200 in airplane extra fees (like baggage fees and in flight meals). You could use those on your way to Disney.

Doubtful, as even though it's Visa, Disney's relationship with Chase (as the official bank of everything Disney) comes first.

Besides the well-known Disney cards issued by Chase, the bank also runs Disney's financial infrastructure, to include all the credit card "swipe" terminals.

Well, it is actually a Chase-issued card, but the point is still well-taken.

This does raise a related question, though. My card treats travel and dining differently from other purchases (I get double points on those purchases). If I just charge everything to my room and pay my balance with my card, will that all be considered "travel," since it's a charge to a Disney resort?

Anyone have any experience on that front?

Yes, that will work.

I've never heard of that benefit for any VISA card, only the Platinum American Express. Which credit card do you have? I may need to add it to my wallet!-- Suzanne

It is the Ritz Carlton Chase Signature Visa.

But beware there is a hefty annual fee.

However, the benefits of the card outweigh the annual fee FOR ME.
1) Travel insurance included (~$180 value to us b/c of annual cruise) including emergency evacuation, emergency medical and dental coverage, global travel accident insurance, trip cancellation insurance, trip delay reimbursement, baggage delay, lost luggage reimbursement
2) $200 airline incidentals credit
3) Automobile rental collision damage waiver
4) Airport lounge access
5) Automatic Gold level in Marriotts which includes club lounge access
6) Various Ritz Carlton hotel advantages like room upgrades, club level access, $100 dining/spa/recreation credit
7) Generates Marriott reward points for free hotel stays
8) No foreign transaction fees
6) Purchase protection, return protection, price protection

That's all that I can think of right now. But the first 2 items make up for the annual fee. The rest is just bonus.

Thanks for that information. I already am an additional cardholder for Amex Platinum, which gets me at least the same airline lounge access. But I will have to look into it for the other benefits. -- Suzanne
