Visa Rewards/GC for tips

Posted this on the DDP FAQ but really I think somone here probably knows the answer

Booking DDP for our upcoming trip- can I use rewards dollars from my VISA (that I have already transfered to a rewards card) or Disney Gift cards that I bought from my daughters school (Trip program) to cover tips during our DDP meals?

Someone else suggested maybe I can charge the tips back to my room and then possibily use the rewards or GC's to pay off the room charges- can I do that as well??

I don't want to take a bunch of cash if it can be avoided- and I like the idea of just spending down on the cards.
