I was at Shopper's Drugmart today and noticed they sell Visa/Mastercard/American Express giftcards. I didn't get a chance to look closely at them, but does anyone know if you purchase them in Canada are you able to use them in the U.S.??????

Not sure about your question, but just wanted to let you know that Visa has a fee associated with this. I think Amex has no fees, but that is something else you might want to look into.

I haven't found out if they are good in the U.S. or not, but I did some research and most all of them have fees. And if the balance is not used up in 6 months there is a monthly fee and if it's not used by expiration you lose it! I think I'll stick with idea of getting the kids Disney giftcards when we get there.

Generally, the cards would be usable at any location in the United States which accept VISA/Master Card/AMEX. However, certain cards may be issued for domestic use only. You can tell whether this is the case because such cards will be marked as "Valid only in Canada/Valable au Canada uniquement" on the front of the card.

Hi Hon
just wanted to let you know I purchase mine at Petro Canada and I use them for our payment on quick service dining each time we go down to Disney.
I've also used them for gifts in Downtown Disney.
