Visa Disney Reward Points

We have been long term Disney Visa card holders and we are going on our first cruise next year. Can I use my points on the cruise ship and can I pay for shore excursions with the points?

I would recommend putting your rewards points as an onboard credit thru calling Disney amenities and telling them what you want to do.

The onboard credit then goes onto your cabin account and that is where you pay for excursions from etc.

Call (800) 601-8455 This is the amenities number to call. They may direct you to call Disney rewards number and have them run it.

Yes, your Disney Visa Rewards can be used for shore excursions and anything else charged to your onboard account. You will need to transfer the points to a Rewards Redemption Card. That can be applied to your onboard account. You can't just apply the points directly.

Once you have your Rewards Redemption Card, it basically works like a Disney Gift card. We always pack ours and apply it to our account at Guest Services onboard.

We use ours all the time. I just go to Guest Services and put all the rewards on my On Board Account. Everthing I purchase onboard including excursions are paid by that account so all of our rewards are used.

We just did this! Called Disney Rewards and had the point/money put on a reward card. Then strolled over to Guest Services right after we boarded and put it on our account. Super easy!

We're in the boat of getting the reward card and going to guest services. If you call the 800# for Disney you can only apply who amounts, so if you have any amount in change it will remain on the card unused.

One more thing to add: if you are going to be at at Disney Park prior to going on your cruise, you can also pick up a rewards card at any Guest Relations location. Handy to know if you're on a short timeline.
