Visa Card Holders

Just booked Caribbean Beach for August 14-15! We Were originally at ASsports. We will then go back to Allstarsports on the 16th when free dinning starts!! I am so excited!!! :cool1:I also didn't receive an email thanks for starting this post!

I don't think I'd want to stay at a place called "assports", but that's just me.

wow! I am so glad that all of you that did not get the email this morning were able to update your ressies! Now, here's to hoping the same deal will be extended through the late fall so I can save on my trip with DH in November.:thumbsup2

I did get the Disney Rewards e-mail too and it says to hurry and book this offer as it willbe released to the general public on June 25. That's only a few days from now. I did check the Disney Rewards website at the end of last week and there was no mention of this promo so we're only getting a few days head start. Wish I could go but going to Ireland in August and planning on August 2010 for WDW.

Funny, I originally booked my FD offer because of a Visa email I received. Now I just received this one today. For those of you who changed from FD to this new offer, do you have to cancel and rebook your ADR's? That is my main concern, even if I may save a little money.

Would be nice to upgrade to a moderate though...hmmm, I'll have to wait to hear from my TA on this to see what she figures out is best for me.

I don't understand how they have so many different offers during the same time :confused3 First FD now this offer. I guess they are really trying to over-crowd the parks during mid August to the first of October

Hi! Just wanted to answer this..I called after reading this thread yesterday. I didn't even give the CM the code, just said that I had an existing ressie & wanted to see if I could apply the new Disney Visa promotion. He was able to give me a new price for my current ressie & a price to upgrade to club level. (I upgraded!) Anyway, the only thing he had to do to apply the new price was check with guest services to make sure the deposit had been paid with a Disney Visa, since as he said, "right now this is only a disney visa offer". All my dining & ressies nos. stayed the same.:)

I was so excited yesterday when I got this e-mail from Disney Rewards and saw the price for a moderate because is the first "deal" e-mail I have ever received. :woohoo: But then I looked at the dates and we are going the last week of October so we can't use this one. I cannot begin to tell you how disappointed I was. :sad2:

I'm with you! Planning a trip for mid-Oct and I'm not so paitently waiting for some deal that doesn't expire on Oct 3! There was a big room discount offered last year in August, so I'm hoping for something similar. But I'm getting a bit antsy and thinking about going ahead and booking with the AAA discount. Got a bunch of PINs earlier in the year (and used one in May), but they seem to have dried up, for me at least.

I have kind of a noob question, but when the code is for a certain date, like through 10/3 for this discount, does that mean that the night of the 3rd (checkout on the 4th) is eligible for the discount? Or does it expire for checkouts on the 3rd? This has always confused me. :confused3

I have NEVER had a pin code and with my luck, probably never will. Now I'll be hoping for August but I'm like you, I thought about going ahead and booking with AAA discount but then I also thought maybe if I don't book yet and others don't book yet, Disney will think they need to come out with a special because people aren't booking (like the 4/3 deal in the spring). :woohoo: Wouldn't that be great? :cool1:

No, you don't have to cancel your ADR's. But if you are changing your package(depending on how you paid) They will have to cancel your original ressie and credit you back the money and then rebook the new code and you will have to put either 1 nights deposite(room only ressie) or 200 $per package on a disney visa.

It is open to check out on the 4th of october.

I have booked FD during this period and I got the offer via email. If I apply the discount (35% off room rates) then add in the dining package and then add in the tickets, etc., does that save me money? Or should I just stick with FD?

The easiest way to figure it out is to just call Disney and ask them to price it out for you. For me, yes, it was cheaper to use the code and add dining, but we have APs, so didn't need tickets and with FD, you had to buy at least 1 day tickets.

Ok, thanks for the replies to my question, you all are so helpful :thumbsup2

Now my question is, if I keep the same package; MYW+DDP w/same dates, but change to another resort, what would that do? Would I then have to cancel and rebook?

I don't see this as possible though, I was thinking of upgrading to a Mod resort but only if the price isn't much than what I am paying now for FD & value resort.

TIA

Thanks for the info! I'm saving $25 more (per day) than my original AAA rate at the cabins now. I'm still waiting for the AP rates, but this could be better. Thanks again for being a helpful DISser!!

I am sure the answer to this is no...but we are arriving on Oct. 3rd. we were able to book free dining for our trip...but I would much rather have the 35% off. Would that rate only be applicable for oct 3rd...or for our whole trip?
thanks,
Holly

Just used the visa code to my existing All star Music room only ressie and was able to get a standard room for 69$. I'm also an AP holder but I changed to this code to have at least some type of room discount in case thay don't release AP discounts for my dates(Plus I'm sick of waiting for them to come out) My dates for this room ressie were August 9th trough the 16th.

As of now DH doesn't know if he will be able to get the time off of work to go with us and he won't know till 2 wks before we leave:eek: I hope that there will still be a moderate resort open with this discount or an AP rate.

HTH

Thanks....it looks like a 15% savings. Not very much. I hope they do better on the AP rate. At least booking the AP discount would allow me to purchase the ddp without having to purchase the one day ticket. I'm still holding on. I just need 2 odd days (8/14 and 8/21 -- both Fridays).

I just called and the CM said I had a better deal with FD. For us, we currently have 9 nights at All Star Sports, FD, 7 days base ticket with waterparks and airfare for $2045.93. There are three of us. With the VISA offer, there were no values left for the offer, so a moderate would be $2544.15 without airfare? That just seems so high?!?!

According to the offer posted on the Disney Visa website, it's not 35% off for every resort or room category.
