Hi All!
Just got an email this morning from Disney Visa that they are offering 35% off select moderate resorts for travel dates 8/9-8/18 and 8/22-10/3! You must book by 8/8/2009. I am afraid it doesn't help us, we are staying at WL 11/14-11/21/2009, but those of you traveling this fall and have a Disney Visa, look out for the deal!

Hey, you beat me to it! I just got a king room at CSR for 8/14-8/16 for $272 including tax.

That would be great for me, and I'm a Disney Visa card holder...wish I'd get that email!

Just checked the Disney Visa website and the code is EQT...here's what it says:

Save 35%1 on room rates at select Disney Resorts.

With savings this magical, why not delight your family with an enchanting getaway this fall?

Select Disney Moderate Resorts
$96 per night plus tax for stays most nights 8/9-8/18 and 8/22-10/3/2009 in a standard room.

Disney’s Old Key West Resort or Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
$169 per night plus tax for stays most nights 8/9-10/3/2009 in a studio.

Ask about other resort categories at varying discounted rates

The number of rooms available at this rate is limited. Savings based on non-discounted price for the same room. See Important Details1

Call 407-939-1308 or your travel agent. Book through August 8, 2009 with your Disney Rewards® Visa® Card and code EQT.
Ask about other accommodations and lengths of stay

That saved me about $400 on a pirate room at CBR Sept. 13-20...so, thanks for the heads up!

You don't have to have the email. I didn't get an email (never do). I just went on the cardholders website and the offer was there.

I assume if you use this code that means no free dining? Boy if it was both how awesome that would be!!

No, you can't use both. The CM I had checked this code for the dates that I already have free dining for and she said that with this code it would be $90 cheaper than what I'm getting with free dining. I didn't change that one yet, but I might. Even though it says the dates are 8/9-8/18 and 8/22-10/3, she said I could use it for all of my dates (8/16-8/20).

EDIT: I just ran the numbers myself and it appears as though she was wrong about using it for the 19th. The numbers I came up with in comparison to what she told me has the 16th, 17th, and 18th discounted and the 19th at rack. It's still coming up $90 cheaper, though.

Interesting....what resort are you staying at? I'm planning a trip with my 2 girls & my parents. Since we are a party of 5 we are looking at the Beach Club. I'm currently pricing with free dining from September 10th-15th, maybe I should call & price the other option. I don't have the Disney Visa, but my mother does so we could book the trip on her card if it comes out cheaper.

We're staying at the Poly the 16th-20th. She said it would only really make a difference in price for the deluxes, so you may come out cheaper. Since the card is in your mother's name, I'm guessing that the reservation would have to be in her name, too. Just call and ask them to price it both ways.

Sorry Carolina Blue that I was quick on the draw this morning LOL but anyone who has a user name Carolina Blue is ok with me:cheer2:
Plus, I love your quote, Fred and George are the greatest!

:laughing:I was on the phone with CRO while you were posting! I didn't notice you are from NC, too. We're a little west of Charlotte.

We are in the Greensboro area...but head to Charlotte for shopping and dining!

Hi!! Thanks for posting this new offer! I had a ressie @ Yacht Club 9/12-19 with a free dining pin which we had upgraded to Deluxe dining. I called to price this new promo. The CM said he could modify my existing ressies (would save $150). I asked about club level & was able to upgrade to LV club for $120!!! Guess which one I did!!!:rotfl2:

Now to decide if I'll tell DH, he loves it up there! Think I'll surprize him!!

Thank all of you so much. Just called and saved $235 with the Visa code!!!
I had AAA, but this is better yet! Of all days for me not to check my credit card statement online, but thanks to all of you I got the savings.:love:

Has anyone booked a value resort yet. I noticed the message said ask about other accommodations on this special. I'm curious if this will be lower or the AP discount (I'm both). It's on the disneyrewards website. I never get the emails either.

Hey thanks for posting this. I am currently booked at POFQ with free dining. Even with 2 out of 5 nights blacked out, I still may save a little (81.00). Our dates are 8/20-8/25. ETA: Our room with free dining is waterview, only thing available when I booked, compared deal with a standard room.

Does anyone want to confirm this for me...am I missing something. I just took 2 nights rack with tax and 3 nights at 96 with tax and added dining for 2A. This is a mommy/daughter(10y.o) trip. I really wanted to do the dining plan.
Does it look like this is the way to go.
I typically book room only deals so I am a bit confused.:confused3
Thanks.

Just used the visa code to my existing All star Music room only ressie and was able to get a standard room for 69$. I'm also an AP holder but I changed to this code to have at least some type of room discount in case thay don't release AP discounts for my dates(Plus I'm sick of waiting for them to come out) My dates for this room ressie were August 9th trough the 16th.

As of now DH doesn't know if he will be able to get the time off of work to go with us and he won't know till 2 wks before we leave:eek: I hope that there will still be a moderate resort open with this discount or an AP rate.

HTH

I called this afternoon to get a quote for 1 night at ASMo. If the CM was correct (he seemed to be having a hard time keeping the codes straight), the total for a pref. room was $94.92. This didn't seem like much of a deal to me for a value during value season -- I think the AAA discount was even slightly better-- so I passed. Did anybody else price a value?

Thanks, was it the same price for the weekends too? Sometimes weekends are excluded or cost more? I'm guessing AP rates will be released this week.

Yes it was the same price for the weekends. I think AP rates will also be released this Wednesday and will be listed at 64$ for a value if I had to guess. I will then call and apply that rate instead of this visa offer to save the 5$ a night difference:lmao:

I didn't add the dining plan yet because I don't know if my DH is coming yet or not and didn't want the package cancelation fees but The CM I talked to today said it could be added on 3 days prior to check in.

Thanks for the info! I didn't get an email either. Just called and modified my September Ft. Wilderness reservation. The code gave me a cabin rate of $169 a night. Saved almost $500 off my previous AAA rate. :cool1:
