Virus issues

ok I get to certain pages if I LINK to them from past internet history.
OR
if I log in using
www.disboards.com

BUT if while I am in a certain area & THEN i choose the "The dis discussion forums - disboards.com" to move back to the beginning it shows

http://www.disboards.com/index.php
on my web browser address line ( which it always has before)

& IE says Internet explorer cannot display the web page.


ok, so I got a work around, but something is wrong here...
any ideas??

I am using Google Chrome and the site seems fine now. Avast isn't blocking anything.
Maybe if you are using IE try using another browser and see if that works.

Firefox with Avast is now working with no issues.

I tried IE and have no issues there either now.

Same here...could access for the last 24 hours, but now it's fine. I made no changes.

I'm so glad to hear I'm not the only one with this problem!

I updated Avast, rebooted my computer, and tried to log onto the DIS boards again. It worked!

Double check to make sure you have the updated virus definitions from Avast. They were updated again today (which is likely why it now works for those that were blocked).

We have had this problem before with Avast.
One issue we frequently see is that someone has something in their signature linked to something bad and that sets it off but that doesn't seem to be the case here. I think this is purely an avast issue.
